My King

Chapter Six

Ash's PoV

      'I'm gonna kill him. The second I see that blond asshole he's gonna get a face full of knives!' 

      I had thought Arlo was interested in John. For once I think I may have been wrong. I walked into school. Brian was following behind me, rather eager to see what was gonna go down. I had my ability activated before I even got in the school, my knives threateningly floating around me. People in the halls scattered once they saw us. They clearly didn't want to get stabbed. Then I saw him, he was standing in the middle of the hall talking to someone.

      "So Asslo ready to pay for what you did to John?" I snarl. He whips around, surprise and fear in his eyes. He must not have thought this through. My eyes glow bright with rage and my shadows swirl around my hands, my wings formed from my back and I narrowed my eyes. Arlo activated his ability, but I wasn't scared of his weak barriers. He was a pathetic excuse for a King but that was probably because I've worked with John for so long. I launch the knives at him but  he managed to block them. They cracked the barrier a bit and he coughed blood, growling. I felt a sharp pain in my side and snearred. So there's recoil damage? Great. I leap at him, using my wings to push me forwards unnaturally fast. I kneed him in the gut and punched him in the face. I leapt back and a yellow barrier appeared around me. I rolled my eyes and smirked. I quickly made a black sword. I stabbed the sword into the barrier as hard as I could, it was already cracked so it wasn't too hard to shatter the rest of it. Arlo coughed blood once more, very clearly weakened. I was panting a bit and looked around. A lot of people had gathered around us, even a few teachers were watching. They were shocked by my speed and power. I kicked him in the face and he grabbed my foot. He  pulled my leg out from under me and I fall back. I growled and made my shadow wolf. I can only do animals when I'm really pissed. The wolf leapt at Arlo, jaws wide and snarling. A few people looked like they wanted to step in, but they didn't want to lose a limb. The wolf sunk it's fangs into Arlo's arm and he screamed in pain. Arlo passed out and I huffed, making the wolf disappear. It's no fun when I can't hear him scream. I stalked up to the roof with Brian on my heels

      "Wow you haven't lost your touch have you?" He said with a smirk. I rolled my eyes at him.

      "Tsk, his barriers where no match for me! They say his barriers are supposed to be unbreakable but I find that seriously hard to believe. Like seriously what even is his power level? Probably not even a seven." I say with a smirk. I stretched and make a small couch on the roof, flopping down on it with my eyes closed. Brian sits next to me and pulls out his phone, probably on instagram. I need to rest, I used a lot of energy in that fight. I make myself a fluffy black blanket and wrap myself up in it like a burrito."Brian, I want food!"I complain and I hear him laugh while getting up.

      "I'll go grab something from the cafeteria." He said, chuckling. I opened my eyes and watched Brian open the door and head down to get food. I smile and wiggle around so I'm on my back. I pull out my phone and go to text John and see how he's doing. I mentally face palmed as I remembered his phone was broken and promised myself that I'd get him a new one. Ten minutes later Brian came back up with some food. He handed me a chicken patty and a slice of chocolate cake. He doesn't like chocolate which is fucking weird but oh well more for me. 

      "I love food." I said around a mouthful of chicken. Brian snorted. 

      "Yeah I noticed!" We both chuckled and continued doing whatever on our phones. I was playing Cat Game and spacing out a bit. Brian was on Insta again because he's a basic thotty. We sat on our phones till we could finally go home, not even bothering with our classes. I smiled when the bell run and got up. I made the couch and blanket disappear and Brian yelps as he falls. He had still been sitting on the couch... oops. We walked down from the roof, I needed to go around and get John's homework from the teachers. As we walked I could hear people whispering behind our backs.

      "She's the one who beat the shit out of Arlo"

      "Who's that guy with her?"

      "What did Arlo do to make her so mad?"

      I rolled my eyes, too tired to even start to deal with their bullshit. I went around to each of the teachers and asked for homework for John. When one of them asked me why he wasn't here I told them that he was sick but didn't want to be to far behind on his work. They seemed to buy it and gave me the homework. We were walking back to John's house when Brian got a text. He smiled. 

      "Hey I've gotta go meet up with someone. I'll see you tomorrow!" He said with a huge grin on his face. I just laughed and nodded.

      "Alright, cya bro!" He ran off and I walked to our house, seeing as I've basically moved in. I got there and found John asleep on the couch. I walked over and gently picked him up, trying not to wake him. I moved him into his bed and checked the bandages on his arms. There were still there and I made a mental note to change them when he woke up. I smiled and left the room, quietly closing the door behind me. I can't wait to make Arlo bleed again. I wonder if he ever ended up in the infirmary. I hope he bled out on the floor though, is that bad? I mean he completely broke John's heart so I really don't care if it sounded bad. I sat down on the couch and turned on the Tv. I put on animal planet and smiled while watching the baby foxes, thoughts of murder gone in favor of these small creatures.
