"Yeah! Why not? I mean you live alone in a big city, which by the way is not safe. You will be with me and my friends. And don't worry since you will be dating me they won't make any moves on yah!"
"What do you mean by"you'll be dating me"? That's a bit straight forward."
"But I happen to know you like me, and I like you so I figured one way or another it would eventually happen. What do you say will you Flora Mildren be my girlfriend?"
"Depends will you Chris Starkey, be loyal and nice?"
"Why of course I would come on let's go and talk the details."
"What about school?" I asked a little nervous about skipping. I had never ever skipped school before.
"I know for a fact that you don't ever miss school. So let's go!" He grabbed my hand we were off.
We walked to his car. It was a plain white jeep, with black and white insides. He unlocked his car and we got in. I looked around the car and it was generally clean.
"So your friends, what are there names?"
"Well they are all guys, and I will tell you when you meet them."
I kind of froze up. All boys? Was there apartment going to be like the movies, where it's all dirty. Clothes everywhere and pizza boxes. Now I am a bit more nervous, what did I just get myself into?
"So are your friends home?"
"Yeah they a, you probably won't approve. They are really nice but they are high school dropouts. Which is sad because they are pretty dang smart."
"Oh, ok. Well, that was their choice, and not for me judge." He looked over at me and smiled.
"I think you and me are going to get along just fine, Flora just fine."
