I looked down at my watch and discovered I had been reading for an hour. I quickly put the book down and got up. I opened the door and walked down the hall. But I stopped in my tracks and looked at a holographic door. Why hadn't I noticed this before? I began to knock.
No answer.
I knocked again and still no answer. My hand began to reach out for the doorknob when I heard Chris yell. "Oh hey, NO! Don't open that door."
My hand dropped to my side, and I stared at him with bewildered eyes. I was about to ask when he began to explain.
"Come here," I walked over to him still looking at the door. He put his hands on my face and we walked over to the couch. He sat down, and I still stood there bewildered.
"Please sit, let me explain." I slowly sat down next to him.
"I'm sorry, It just that, well that room hasn't been cleared yet. You see my old ugly hag of an ex-girlfriend. And I didn't want you to see it, their's nothing in it its just well ya know."
I stared at him with a bewildered look and shrugged my shoulders.
"No? Ok well, that's fine if you saw it you would understand. It was just ugl-"
"What he is trying to say, is she was good at being the worst decorator ever. I was embarrassed looking at it. Hopefully, you'll be an improvement." Said, Sam, while laughing at his now embarrassed friend.
"Oh, ok I do love to decorate and paint so hopefully I can change it into something new. Like a gameing room maybe. That would be much better than anything else. Now shall we go?"
Chris looked at me shocked. I don't think that he was expecting such a response.
