BEFORE WE BEGIN- I just wanna say that this is told from CHRIS'S point of view starting from the very beginning. I will continue telling the story after this Chapter. Warning this will be a long one. Enjoy! ☕

"So dude how many people did you say we're going to that party?" I was so wickedly excited for his party. Even though it was like the third one this month. This was supposed to be the biggest to top the rest.  If that is even possible.

     "Like 300 people!"

"Wicked, hey I'm gonna put these paints back. Be back in a sec." I turned around with the paint tray in my hand when I ran right into someone. I tried to stop the tray but it just flew out my hands straight onto them.

"Oh dang, Oh hey I'm sorry." She just stood there stunned. I didn't really know what to do so I put the tray down, and grabbed her hand leading her to the sink. I quickly realized who it was, it was Flora Mildren the biggest geek and avid reader in all the school. High school was wild for me, but for her, she always has her nose in a book. Which I find totally attractive. I mean I could care less if I was on the school's hockey team. (Which for some reason girls like), she was the one girl that didn't look at me and say "Oh, Hey their Chris I will be at the game!" and then run off laughing. Then they go and tell all their friends that we talked. In which we didn't. Like it is weird like supporting yeah but weird.

I began to wet the paper towels when she all of a sudden protested to me helping her. However, I got my own way and ended up helping her anyway. But we didn't talk at first so it was kinda awkward. I stood there feeling like an idiot. I mean come on! I literally just ruined my chances with the most beautiful girl in school.  But then luckily she began the conversation. Asking me if I had planned this weekend. I just stared at her blankly then asked her if she was invited to my friend Hunters big party.

She said "No". I immediately got mad at him. Like literally the entire school was invited. Why not her. I offered to give her a ride and told her about how I know parents get mad. And grumpy when here high school kids ask them to take them places. But all of a sudden she started to cry. I didn't know why but I just assumed it was my fault. Even if it wasn't.

Then just when I was about to apologize she ran off. I watched her go out the door and stood there for a second then I began to follow her. I ran out and could hear my friends asking me what I was doing but I just ignored them. At first, I didn't see her but out of the corner of my eye, I saw her long brown hair wisp around the corner. So that's naturally where I ran. I found her. Now I was hot on her tail I almost caught up to her she ran into the bathroom.

"Oh hey now that's not fair." I was now standing in the middle of the hallway not knowing what to do. For a moment I thought of just going back to class. But just as I was turning around to leave I heard crying. I heard her breathing heavily and I wanted nothing more to take that pain from her. I then decided not to leave but to stay until she came out.

About 10 minutes later I heard water running then the paper towel dispenser. I immediately stood up and moved to the side so she couldn't see me. When she walked out I ran up behind her and grabbed her. But not in a harmful way, but rather a hug. I hugged her and we stood there for about a minute or two. When I noticed my sleeve was wet from her tears. I pulled her away and looked at her face. Or at least I tried to, she put her head down. But I wanted to see her, and her beautiful face. I put my hand under her chin and lifted her head.

"Hey, you ok?" She suddenly burst into tears and we both sat down on the floor, and she cried and explained everything. It sounded as if he had held all of this in so long that she was ready to burst. And when I asked her about her parents it pushed her over the edge. And honestly, I don't blame her, I mean her parents freakin abandoned her what kind of people do that?

Well at the end of her story I pulled her against my chest she was still crying a little, but I didint blame her. Instead, I kissed her on her forehead. Then it hit me if she has been alone her whole life she has never had a roommate. Or several. So I invited her to live with me. She looked so confused, appreciated, and happy at the same time. And accepted my offer. I couldn't wait to get home and tell the guys that I got a new roommate to replace the old one.

We drove to my house and I showed her, her room and let me tell you she was blown away. I think it was mostly by the books but she looked amazed either way. I left her in her room to soak it all in, and let her breath. When I walked out and shut the door behind me I found Finn waiting for me.

"So, you bringing us another girl here, I would've thought you would wait at the least 2 years. I mean that last break up had you almost to your death. And I rea-"

"She is different! She is not anything like the other girl.  Flora is kind, smart, pretty and she is a geek. I would've thought you would approve."

"I do approve, I just don't want her to break your heart as Maddison did." I thought about what he said for a long time. I looked up at him and nodded. Suddenly it hit me that I did not take Flora yet, she probably fell asleep. Walking into the hall I saw her going for Maddie's old room. Which hadn't been cleared yet. When I suddenly yelled out to her to stop. She looked a bit scared and I explained to her that it was my ex's old room.

Floras room was large with a walk-in closet, and 5 bookshelves filled with books. LIke "Lord of the Rings", "The Hobbit" and loads more. She had a white hanging chair and huge white bed, with pink fluffy pillows. A window seat that looks out to the New York skyline. I myself am actually not from New York and it took me a while to get used to me. I am originally from Pennsylvania born and raised. I knew that she was going to like it here.

I got up from the couch and told Finn we would be leaving. He looked at me curiously, then looked at Flora and laughed.

    "What?"

    "Oh, nothing have fun."

"Actually do you wanna come with us, I need you to help us move her stuff."

    "Sure."

And with that, we were off.
