"Are you- ok then. But like actual witches or like the ones you hear about on the news?" I asked giggling. I hadn't moved from my spot, I wasn't scared of him. Just slightly intimidated, this made so much sense. Well mainly with Ollie and Liam. But Oliver, Maximus, Finn and Chris not so much.
"Well we cannot perform much magic in this world. We have to go to our own world. It is called the Hollow Lands. We get their by using one of the only spells we can use in this world. Now that I have told you, no one can know. You mustn't tell a soul, no matter what. If someone finds out you know I can only imagine what will happen. And I love you far to much to let something happen to you."
"I love you too, but what about Sam? Why do you keep him around?"
"Well why do you think?" I faced me completely now all of his focus on me. It was like nothing else in the room existed. I turned to also face him completely my head cocked to the side a bit. I thought about when I realized the only reasonable answer.
"Blackmail." He nodded his head in agreement. "Did he see you use your magic or something?"
"We were trying to get back to our realm, you see it is quite simple. We stay here to long then our magic starts to fade away. It is painful too, really painful. I almost lost my powers because I didn't know about it. Anyway, I threw down my dust to leave and Sam saw me disappearing and unfortunately I saw him too. The only way to make him forget about it would be to take him to the realm, which is out of the question. The first time we took him he almost got us killed! Trying to say we were to blame for our "Ignorance and not being careful enough". He said mocking Sam with air quotes.
I found all of this fascinating so I figure just let him to talk. I don't want to interrupt this. I glanced over at the clock and it was 11:30 but I wasn't tired. This was way to exciting to get tired now.
"And you wanna know what's worse? The council gave him permission to go whenever he wants. To the realm I mean, it is awful."
"I'm sorry." I stated plainly, and I was. I can only imagine what it could be like to have a secret that big. Then have the worlds worst person find it out then blackmail you, then your own people betray you! It is a lot to think about.
"Don't be, and anyway Sam might no he will try and find out if you know. You must act ignorant like you cant tell him anything."
"I wont. " I said leaning over and kissing his cheek. He didn't hug me so I hugged him, then he took the hint and hugged back.
"Wait so your not mad?" he sounded shocked. I hugged him tighter and kissed his shoulder.
"Of course not!" I said rushing the hair off my shoulder and leaning back to look at him.
"You cant help what you are, and that's that. I still love you!" I said sweetly and this time I hugged him, but I laid him down on the bed so we could sleep.
"Love you too." He said and with that he shut out the light and we went to sleep.
