Logic wasn't sure how to handle a little Patton. He was very loud and excitable, and Logan wasn't ready to deal with children... ever.
Virgil seemed to be the exception, but the only difference was when Virgil regressed he was very manageable, and Patton aided most of his small dilemmas.
Patton was metaphorically everywhere in child form. Logan thought it be ideal to not form an attachment with the child, may it be he worsens the situation, therefore dampening their relationship further.
Patton, of course, didn't care and trusted Logan with his life anyhow. So when Virgil took him into the garden, Pat knew exactly what he wanted to do. He had been eyeing those dark blue hydrangeas for 2 days now.
"Logan! Get out here!"
Frustrated with being removed from his work, Logan calmly walked over to the living room where Virgil had shouted his name.
"Virgil, I am absolutely certain I have no reason to be-"
"Logie! Cwose ur eyes!"
"Wha-"
"Patton made you a surprise."
"Very well," Logan did as told and waited. He vaguely heard Pat shuffle around, and Virge pick him up. He could feel Patton's breath on his nose, and suddenly he felt a circular headpiece around his skull.
"Okay, open 'em!"
Patton had gifted him a flower crown. It was poorly made, and the petals were already half fallen off, but you could tell it was made with love, care, and attention.
"Ya like it?"
"I love it."
"Told ya Pat!"
Today was a surprisingly good day for Logan. Who knew surprises could be a good thing.
