Logan-based chapter cause I can. The chapter goes to @hannah_banana1569, they don't write fanfiction but their book is really great!
"Patton?"
"Yeah, L?"
"Have you noticed recently how...?"
"How what?"
"Dubious the mind has been as of recent?"
"Whatcha mean?"
"Well, things have been irregular this year."
"I'd sure hope so! with all us regressing!"
"See, that right there! We had never done that before, now all of sudden it happens basically every Tuesday! Tell me that isn't odd."
"Well, I don't think we're fighting it as much now, besides I think it's better for our mental health that we allow ourselves to fall into its natural defense system."
"That was... very intellectual of you, Patton."
"Thanks, Lo!"
"But, that's not even the figural tip of this figural iceberg. Like, like the closet! Something is wrong with that door, and no one cares to mention that in all 30 years of Thomas' existence has that door acted up!"
"It's an old door then, I'm sure it just needs a little TLC!"
"And- My tea. Someone has to be drinking my tea! We bought a box yesterday, it was empty this morning!"
"I'm sure it's just Remy-"
"Well, what about the fact Deceit just ended up on our doorstep, huh? How'd he even get there?"
"Someone from the dark side must've dropped him off. After what Virgil told us, it's not surprising."
"WHAT ABOUT THE CAT, PATTON? THE CAT!"
"It must've followed Roman from the imagination, wouldn't be the first time."
"Something is going on Patton, and I intend to figure it out."
"How do you plan to do that?"
"Simple. Security cameras."
"You're being paranoid."
"It's just- It can't just be me that is noticing all of this! Surely, someone is orchestrating all this."
"Orchestrating what, Logan?"
"The ghost living in this house! Don't play coy with me. We both know there's small-"
"Infinatestible."
A sigh, "An infinatestible chance all the 'littles' have the same imaginary friend! And the cups being misplaced, and the cabinets being left open, and the weird squealing that comes from presumably the walls, and the weird flashes of light- like someones taking photos of us- It's just not normal!"
"Lo, you sound ridiculous, ghosts? That's the most illogical thing- I bet you are just stressed, you should take a nap before this all builds up and you regress again. Okay?"
"You might be right, I stayed up pretty late anyhow. I'll take my leave, thank you."
"No problem, kiddo."
After Logan left, Patton made a beeline to the cabinet over the sink, giving a quick wink to the person behind the doors looking through the crack. Author-Chan gave Patton a quick thumbs up, then went back to typing, reporting to their boss.
Maybe Author-Chan had been a bit too reckless these past few months...
