For y'all who don't know your author is agender, they/them pronouns, and I figured here's a few shorts for you all. There are plenty of sexualities and gender orientations not listed here, but they are all valid! Today's chapter goes to @Marichat997
Remy- Nonbinary
Remy always felt off. The kid hated being labeled, hated sports, hated dance, hated boy things, hated girl things. They just wanted to be their own thing, ya know? Be a little of both this and that, gossip at Starbucks then go play video games. They wanted to play house and manhunt!
They were 10 when they first heard the term. It was mostly like, "Oh. I just I'm Nonbinary then, oh well. I want a latte." After that, they went straight into the mall and bought dresses and hoodies and pants and leather and whatever the hell they wanted. Cause now, they didn't have to be one thing, they could be it all at once if they felt like it!
Deceit- Aromantic
It was a large pill to swallow, but he was happy with it. He felt validated. Cause there it was, on his computer screen. He was struggling so much, and now he was real and not broken. He knew something was, not wrong, different when Thomas got his first girlfriend. Dee wasn't interested in that stuff, all the cuddling and handholding was... gross. He just didn't feel that way, but it looked like he was the only side that did, he was different. He thought he was leading on the girl, even though he wasn't even dating her. But that didn't matter now, cause here it read, just like Remy said. Aromantic: a lack of romantic attraction.
Patton- Pansexual
Patton was confused, cause they were gay, right? They liked boys. So why did he like girls, too? He wasn't sure the difference between Thomas' feelings towards girls versus guys, but everyone else seemed happy, so he was just imagining things. But then he got feelings for Joan, which didn't make sense to him. Patton was just confused, all the time about sexual and romantic attraction.
Virgil was the one to explain it to him, he wasn't confused, he was just thinking heteronormativity. What he was had a label, it was a real thing many people experienced. He was Pan and damn-well proud.
Virgil- Demiboy
Virgil didn't notice for a while. It wasn't until he heard about other orientations that he paid more attention. He really didn't mind his pronouns, but being called a 'man' or 'masculine' just didn't fit correctly. He liked to play with makeup and wear the occasional skirt, he didn't always feel boyish. But, that still left him to what is he?
When Thomas met Talyn, things fell into place.
Demiboy. Mostly a guy, but not quite. He could definitely be okay with that.
Roman- Homosexual
Roman always knew, from the moment he heard the word he just knew. Like, guys were hot, very attractive, 10/10, just look at him! How could you not fall in love with men? They were sweet and strong and funny, and good lord he was fangirling over Daniel Radcliff. Plus, the rainbow was his favorite color.
Logan- Asexual
He was concerned to know he rather didn't enjoy certain... activities. Clearly, it is an essential part of human functions, so he had to be broken to not understand the appeal. It was the releif of a lifetime when Dee explained his situation and how it was simuliar to Logan's. Logan almost laughed, he was so relieved to know he was a completely functional human menifistation of logicial thinking. It was good to know he was not alone.
Thomas- Homosexual
It was a big time of repression. Keeping it down, under lock-and-key, burying it away. It was a lot to accept, being gay. When he did except it, there was a lot of tears and many questions. But it happened, and even though it was one of the hardest things to know, it made him so complete inside to know he was okay with himself, and that he was himself. It was okay to be gay.
Author-Chan- Agender
Author-Chan didn't realize for most of their life. They were a very femme person, but they always had this badass, depressed, Patton vibe that wasn't that girly. It took some time, for them to realize how uncomfortable their body made them, or how much they hated their name. They were already apart of the community, but admitting that they were Nonbinary was a lot harder. They went through many labels before one stuck. Took awhile for them to start using the right pronouns online, and it'll take them a summer before they come out to their grade.
But Agender was good. It was a good fit for them.
