"Did you find something interesting Rain?" Tanong no prof. Kram.
Nagulat naman ako, di ko rin alam kung sasabihin ko ba sa kanya ang nangyari doon sa kung saan naganap ang training namin. Baka alam na ni prof. Kram kung ano ang nandoon, and knew na may nalaman ako.
Napatingin ako sa aking pouch kung saan ko tinago ang book. Napahigpit ang hawak ko nito nang mapansin ni prof. na nakatingin ako nito.
"I guess you did found something," he concluded.
"A-alam nyo po ba ang nangyari kanina sa akin prof?" Tanong ko na medyo nag hehesitate pa.
He looked around at bumulong sa akin "wag tayo dito mag-usap," he said at hinawakan ang kamay ko. Bago pa ako makapag tanong bigla nalang umikot ang paningin ko at napaluhod.
Agad akong inalalayan ni prof. Kram, nang makatayo na ako, doon ko lang napansin na nasa ibang lugar na pala ako. Nasa tuktok kami nang napaka taas na mountain.
"P-prof. bakit tayo andito?" Tanong ko sa kanya sabay upo since nahihilo pa ako.
"To avoid eavesdroppers," he said, then may pinaamoy sya sa akin. Nang maamoy ko ito biglang nawala ang pagkahilo ko "now let's talk about that book," he said sabay glance sa pouch ko.
Kinuha ko naman ang book na binalutan at tinali ko para di basta-basta mahulog o makita. Pagkatanggal ko sa balot, agad ko itong ipinakita kang prof. Kram.
"Nakita ko po 'tong book na ito sa isang parang lab"--ako.
"It seems that you have found the laboratory, kung saan ang mga weapon ay pampatay nang mga vamps. Sinadya kong doon kayo mag train para makita nyo ang mga weapons and clues that may help you," he said then open the book.
"Kung ganon, ang totoong core ay ang laboratory na 'yun?"
"Well yes, but malaking tulong din 'yung capsul. May nakalagay na map ang capsul that leads to the laboratory kung saan ka napadpad. Inihinto namin ang game dahil sa student council" agad ko namang naalala ang student council.
"Opo 'yung student council!"--ako.
"Yes, he knew about my existence, anak sya ng anti-vampire society na may balak din akong patayin".
"Panong di po namin napapansin na may pumapatay pa pala sa inyo aside sa amin?"
"Labas sa school sila umaatake. There was once when I'm with Arthur, lumabas na muna kami para may bilhin when suddenly they attacked," kwento ni prof.
"Pero diba po gusto din kayong patayin ni prof. Arthur? Did he attacked you too?" Tanong ko.
"Nope, he did not attack me, and yes he wanted to kill me. Pero dahil di nya daw alam na ang mga taga anti-vampire society ay sasali din sa pagpatay sa akin. Arthur called Eri and asked her about the anti-vamp, wala naman daw ring alam si Eri, so Arthur got angry at tinuring silang kalaban," prof. Kram said.
"So, is prof. Arthur on your side?" Tanong ko.
"Oh no, he definitely wanna kill me, but, let's just say na rivals nya ang AVS (Anti-Vampire Society)," he said and chuckled a little.
I smiled bitterly, and there was just silence until I started asking him something.
"Prof., bakit gusto mong kame ang pumatay sa'yo? You've been targeted by a lot of people who are far more expert than us, why--"
"Why your class?" He interrupted, which I just nodded.
"Well, first I never wanted to die with the hands of my enemies. Second," he suddenly stops and heard him chuckle. Napatingin naman ako sa kanya, giving this look of confusion as to why is he giggling.
"Uhh..." I just said.
"Sorry, but thinking about my reasons why I wanted your class to kill me is pretty shallow," he said and just kept on giggling like a kid.
"Really? Andito ba sa book ang dahilan mo?" I said and opened the book to check it.
"Nah, no," he said "my reasons are not known, and I am not going to tell you that, not yet," he said at tumayo "I want the class to know my reasons, I want class F to hear my story," he then looked at me and smiled.
I just smiled at him, pero may halong pagkalito parin. I just stood up as well, and said "As much as I am so curious about your story, I want to share that story with my classmates as well, because they-WE deserve to know together," and then I just put the book back sa aking bag.
"Yes," prof. said and ruffled my hair, kaya napa groal ako, kaya natawa sya "we better go back, and also, share that book to the class okay," he said and asked with my hand for me to hold, para maka balik na kami.
The moment na hinawakan ko ang kamay ni prof. agad umikot ang paningin ko at muntik nang mahimatay, when I felt a hand that supported my back, it was prof. Kram.
"Thanks," I said and vomited.
"What the..."
I heard a familiar voice, kaya napalingon ako galing sa pag suka ko, while prof. Kram just patted my back and was holding something, maybe to make me feel better.
"Hi, Arthur," prof. said and waved at him.
"Don't you 'hi' me, what happen to Rain?" He said at agad akong nilapitan.
"I'm okay prof., nasuka lang ako from the teleportation or something from prof. Kram" I said, explaining what happened to me.
"YOU DID WHAT?" Prof. Arthur exclaimed.
"Oops," si prof. Kram and just gave him big smile.
"Was... was I not suppose to say that prof.?" I asked.
"Nah it's okay, Arthur here is just being a worrywart," si prof. Kram sabay akbay kang prof. Arthur.
"Don't you think you have to train them before you use that ability sa student?" Prof. Arthur said, and threw prof. Kram's arms away from him.
"Well, this was uncalled for, nakita ni Rain ang book and encountered the AVS," prof. Kram said, and the moment na sinabi nya yun, biglang umiba ang expression ni prof. Arthur.
"You did? Are you okay? What did they do to you? Did they hurt you? What about the book?" Sunod-sunod na tanong ni prof. kaya medyo nashock ako sa reaction nya.
"Woah, relax, calm down honey," prof. Kram said sounding like a mother who is calming his husband, kaya napa chuckle ako.
Kumalma naman si prof. Arthur at napasigh "shut up Kram," he said and looked at me waiting for my answers.
"I'm okay prof. I was able to escape from them, also parang gusto nilang kunin tong book," I said sabay pakita sa book sa kanya.
"So you found the book," prof. Arthur said.
"Yup, I told her about the AVS, since hinabol sya nito," si prof. Kram.
"So they were also looking for the book huh," si prof. Arthur sabay hawak sa chin nya.
"Yeah, who would have thought that the AVS will be this reckless to leave the book unprotected," prof. Kram said sabay tawa.
"Nah, mukang naiwan yata ng AVS ang book nato, I think they were having problems in finding the book, I wonder why" si prof. Arthur sabay tingin kang prof. Kram.
"Why are you looking at me..."--prof. Kram.
"Oh, please Kram, alam kong ikaw ang dahilan kaya di nila mahanap ang book"--prof. Arthur.
"Wow, you know me well," si prof. Kram sabay chuckle, kaya napasigh lang si prof. Arthur "I did took it, it's a book na kailangan nila mabasa to improve their skills," si prof. Kram na nag eexplain kang prof. Arthur.
"I know Kram," si prof and tinalikdan kami, "let's go back with the others, kailangan nilang mabasa ang book," he said and nagsimula nang maglakad.
Sumunod lang kaming dalawa ni prof. Kram, but while walking, I looked at the book's cover Assassination Guide.
Basically a book for assassins.
