my phone buzzes continuously, causing a laugh to slip past my lips. my thumb hovers over the sliding button, but a sudden idea pops into my head.

i couldn't help the corner of my lip to curve upwards in a smirk.

instead of answering, i place my phone down on my bed, waiting for it to go off.

soon enough, the call ends and ethan texts me almost immediately. i swear it hadn't even been a second.
