special - six60petals pov
grayson and ethan were most defintely outside people. in the beginning as we splashed each other and jumped around like total idiots, ethan had seemed almost the tiniest bit off. i wasn't so sure what it was, but he seemed scared and lost.
but with grayson doing crazy flips into the pool, cool droplets of water hitting my skin, ethan slowly grew confidence to get out there and go crazy.
i felt the drilling holes that ethan pinned into me from staring. his stare looked so eager and admirable, it made me think to myself.
this boy was no friend.
he was something i wished for more.
there was this infatuation with him, learning more about him. he had rubbed off all his curiousness onto me now.
he was so determined to learn every little detail about me, but now it was my turn. his body floated next to mine in the water, the small droplets of water dropping onto the very ends of his dark locks; finally dropping over his forehead.
"ethan," i turn my body to face his.
he hums gently, waiting for me to speak my mind.
"i want to know more about you." the desire was burning in having this person be a part of my life.
"more?" he chuckles as if during the time period that we talked over the phone, he was surprised. his shoulders bounce; shrugging as he gave in.
"such as princess?" the way that word rolled off his lips make me sink into a hole.
"family, obstacles in life, friends and desires, dreams, school and careers you're looking in to, cat or dogs, favourite colours and weird things about you." i babbled on, not taking a single breath as he looked deeply into my eyes.
those soft full lips smiling at me.
the damn smile.
"just, everything." i beg, my arms swirling around in the cool water of the pool.
grayson and nadia carry on jumping in and out the pool, loud splashes of water running through our ears as graysons speaker blasts erase me - kid cudi.
"family." he speaks that one word, a smile lingering on his lips as he pushes himself from up the water; continuously bobbing up and down at a peaceful pace.
"huh-" i tilt my head, soon to be cut off by a large inhale of ethan. soon, he speaks.
"my mum comes of as a really quiet person sometimes. she can mutter and she can come off serious but she is the kindest woman i've ever known." his eyes never leave mine. "my mum has always done what was right for us, even when we were younger as thought she was just being a mean mum."
ethan chuckles at the thought.
"i've grown to know her intentions were always for us to be happy and safe." his eyes now drop to the water. watching it carefully as if it were keeping him at peace.
the sun reflecting the movements we had in the water. swirling and creating new shapes. i followed his eyes and watched carefully.
"my dad is the funniest guy. he can have his dad joke moments where i want to dig myself into a hole." his words catch me off guard, my vision coming back to him. "but he supports me- us, with almost every dream we have."
