I sat next to Daniel at the Cheesecake Factory and on my other side is Jack. While waiting for our food, we laugh and talk and I'm trying so hard to ignore Zach and also to not include him on our conversation. "What was your embarrassing moment while you are on the plane?" Jonah asked.
"I think it was the time when I was really tired and I didn't have a chance to sleep for 2 days because it was peak season and we lack of staffs that day then when we were on the air I just said under my breath 'fuck it! I'm sleeping' and I slept on the back of the plane and my best friend said I was snoring so loud the passengers where laughing" I said laughing.
"I thought I'm your best friend?" Daniel said pouting.
"You are also my best friend" I gave him a hug and a smile.
I can sense that Zach was sending glares at me even though I'm not looking at him. What he's problem now? I sighed.
"What's the problem, Zara?" Daniel asked.
"N-nothing. Excuse me but I need to go to the bathroom"
I left our table and I went to the bathroom and I watch my own reflection in the mirror. I started to hear my own voices "Zach likes you, he's just jealous of you and Daniel"
"you're one of a crazy gal who can't take a hint".
"Stop!" I said.
"You also like Zach but you don't admit it"
"I said stop!" I repeat.
I ran out of the bathroom and went outside the restaurant, I sat on an empty bench shaking and tears started to flow as my hands covered my face.
"Zara? What happened?"
I remove my hands and I found Daniel. He handed me a handkerchief which I accepted. Daniel gave me a hug which made my shaking disappeared and I felt more relax. "Please don't tell anyone" I said which Daniel agreed.
"Let's talk about this later when we get home okay? Now fix yourself so the boys won't suspect that you cried. You seriously look like a mess" Daniel said.
I laugh when he said that. Daniel is such a sweet guy and I'm happy that he's now my best friend and now part of my family. We went back to the restaurant when the boys noticed we were together.
"What took you guys so long? Where have you been?" Corbyn asked.
"Ughh.. well, Zara f-found this cute shop and we check it out" Daniel lied.
"Okay" Corbyn replied. They do their businesses once again and Daniel and I took a seat. "Thanks for covering me up, Daniel" I whispered.
"No biggie. You're my best friend" He replied as he hold my hand tightly.
We finished our food and we left the restaurant, we went to the pier which we took a lot of photos. We found an ice cream shop and we bought some ice cream "Because you guys are leaving tomorrow, I'll pay for the ice cream" I said.
I ordered a massive cup of ice cream with assorted flavors on it "seriously?" Daniel pointed on my ice cream.
"I love ice cream!" I smiled weirdly.
Daniel asked for an extra spoon at the counter as he starts to shove my ice cream on his mouth "hey! You have your own ice cream!" I said.
"But more ice cream is better" He said.
I decided to share my ice cream to Daniel which we finished fast and we went to the beach and just sit on the sand.
"You know what guys, going to the beach and sitting on the sand is my favorite escape from my problems. Just letting the warmth of the sun or the cold breeze at night or day lingers throughout my body relaxes me" I said.
They all agreed and the silence amongst us make it feels better. I look at each and everyone of them and smiles are on their faces, I look at Zach and even him has a smile on his face which I never saw before. I smiled on what I saw and we enjoyed the rest of the night.
