I heard the noise as I rolled over, ignoring it. I felt the shift in the bed and then it was silent again.
But that noise started again.
"What?" I heard as I tried to go back to sleep. "I don't know, ma."
I buried my head in to the pillow and drew up the blanket.
"Yeah alright. Don't pull out the waterworks. I'll be there." Came his low voice.
I heard something else as I squeezed my eyes shut even more.
"We'll see. Bye."
I groaned, giving up on the sleep. I rubbed my eyes.
"Are you awake?" Came the soft whisper.
"Yes." I muttered. I didn't think Denny would have stayed the night. I know we went a couple sessions last night. Long sessions. I must have fallen asleep as soon as we were done. I ripped the blanket off my face, letting my eyes adjust to the brightness. "Your mother called?"
"Yeah." I watched as Denny pulled up his pants. "She wants to do lunch."
I pulled the blanket back over my head. "Have fun with that."
Then I felt weight on top of me as the blanket was snatched back. Denny was sitting on top of me, grinning.
"You're coming."
I blinked at him. "No I'm not. I'm sleeping." I tried to get the blanket back bit Denny took it as he got off, dragging it to the other end of the room.
I rolled on to my stomach, grumbling.
I felt the sharp slap on my butt as I gasped.
"Get up."
"You suck!" I muttered into my pillow as I sat up picking up the gown on the floor, slipping my arms through it and covering myself. "Fine. I'm up. Help yourself." I told him as I went to the bedroom.
"A nice garden dress would be perfect."
I poked my head out from the door, an eyebrow arched. But Denny didn't see me as I watched him turn the kettle on, his hand through his hair that was in his eyes. Well I'm glad to know that he has that problem too.

I was talking to Hailey, after Denny introduced me to his sister, chatting about anything. She was a nice girl, tall, slightly chubby, mid length brown hair and also bright blue eyes. Her face showed every emotion as she spoke, in her own merriment.
Denny came up beside me as I smiled at him before answering Hailey's question.
"Hailey, stop." Denny warned as he pulled me away. "Stay away from her."
"Why?" I asked him, surprised by his recent attitude change.
"She is a bad influence."
"Really?" I smiled as I peeked over at Hailey. "Maybe I could show her a thing or two." I egged him on.
"Don't even try."
"You've gotten crabby." I snapped lowly at him.
Denny took me to the nearby window in his mother's sitting room. We had only arrived ten minutes ago as he lifted the curtain.
I watched with wide eyes someone stepping out off the car.
"What's he doing here?" I whispered to Denny as I saw Nicholas.
"I don't know. He wasn't invited." Denny answered me. "But stay close."
"Have you spoken to him?"
