Denny dropped me off at the manor and I thanked him for the day. It was fantastic. I had fun, as usual.
My eyelids were drooping as I sat on the back of the car and I didn't notice we had stopped till Larry told me.
I thanked him and went upstairs, to my apartment and went straight for the shower.
I don't think I even have the energy to make dinner.
After a longer than necessary shower, I wrapped a towel around me and from the small couple steps leaving the bathroom to the bedroom or my giant walk in closet, I heard knocking. Fast and hard knocking.
Pausing in my steps, I waited. But the knocking continued non stop. Sighing, I went to the door and opened it a crack, not exposing myself as I peeked out.
"Denny? What are you doing here?" I asked as I pressed against the door.
"What were you doing?" Denny asked slightly annoyed. "I've been knocking for ten minutes. Even one of your neighbours came out and said you probably weren't home."
"I was in the shower." I stepped away from the door and casually walked to the bedroom, aware that all I had around me was the towel. "I'll be out in a minute." I called out as I closed the door.
I longingly looked at my cotton pants as I slid up some jeans and a placed a singlet over me before heading back to the main room.
I saw Denny by the bench, frowning as he unpacked a grocery bag.
"What are you doing?" I grinned as I went to him.
"Making dinner."
I fluttered my eyelashes. "You're what?"
"I said in the car, I'll see you soon, I owe you a dinner."
I frowned deep. "You did?" I peeked at the ingredients on the bench. "What are you trying to make."
"I noticed you threw in trying." Denny pouted as he dug in the bag. "I was going to attempt pizza."
I sat on the edge of the bench, legs crossed, watching Denny, amused. I wrapped my hair up and clipped it back.
"Would you like a hand?" I asked trying to keep a straight face.
"No. I can do this. It's pizza. How hard can it get?"
"Well, do you want basic and plain pizza or flavoursome pizza?"
Denny sighed as he looked back at me. "Very well."
"First, get that bowl, put in some crushed garlic, fridge, mixed herbs, here and the sauce. Mix it together and place it on the base."
I didn't move as I sat on the counter, telling Denny what he needed to do.
"Don't judge me if it turns out bad." He grumbled as he turned the oven on and placed it in. "You did some too. So it will be partially your fault."
I laughed as I watched his pouting face. "It will be fine." I told him as I slid off the bench. "What would you like to drink?"
"Actually, I brought something." Denny went to the fridge and pulled out a glass bottle. "It's non alcoholic, so I'm assuming you will drink it?"
"How thoughtful." I said in a perky manner. "Here." I opened a top cupboard and on the tips of my toes, I tried reaching for where I keep my fancy glasses. The wine glasses and flutes.
I just couldn't reach them. Suddenly I felt something hard behind me and a hand went over mine, picking up two glasses.
Denny stepped away and placed them on the bench as I mumbled out a thanks. He offered me one and I took it with a smile as he poured his.
