I looked at Dean with a sympathetic smile on my face. "I'm sorry Dean." He is gonna make me start blabbering like a baby in a minute.

Dean rubbed an eye as he waved his other hand at me. "No. Don't be, honey."

"I just think it's for the best." I told him softly. "It was your idea after all."

Dean nodded. "I know. I understand. I just didn't want this day to come."

I gave him another smile. "I wanted to continue on, but I don't think that's the right path for me right now. I want to get out there, see what there is. Travel, I don't know where to really, I'm taking this one step at a time." I shrugged a shoulder. "I'm just winging it."

Dean sniffed back another tear. "I'm gonna miss you."

My heart was breaking. Dean was genuinely upset. "Aww, Dean! Come here." I got up and walked to his chair and hugged him before he could finish getting up. "I'm going to miss the parties, the night life, the dressing up. But I'll miss you the most." I stuttered as I held him tight. "Thank you for always being here for me, when I needed a chat, time. Whatever it was, you tried your hardest to give it to me."

Dean sobbed as he held on to me, making me smile and roll my eyes.

"Where will you go?"

I shrugged as I realised him. "I don't know. But that's the exciting part of it all." I grinned. "My next big adventure."

I took the gun out off the back of my pants and placed it down on the table.

Dean looked at it and picked it up. "No. You take it. For protection." He said softly.

I shook my head. "It's okay." I smiled and nodded, stepping back. I felt the wall of tears about to break down and I was trying not to let that happen. I went to the door and stopped by the frame, leaning on it as I turned. "Goodbye Dean." I said in a soft tone before walking out.

This place gave me some really good memories. The dancing, the men, the laughter. I kept walking to the front door and one final time, I thanked the butler, Steven, as I started my walk back to the apartment.

I told Dean what happened to Nicholas and after a good talk from me and Dean, Raquel finally decided to press charges. He won't be a threat for a while. It gave her peace of mind that he was locked away and I'm at peace. Now if only his first victim knew.

I packed the last box, everything was done as I leaned back and braided my hair. The apartment was filled with cardboard boxes. My life, stored away. My memories, my belongings, everything.

A removalist will be here soon, to place them in storage. I sighed as I picked up a marker and named the box.

I told Denny the other night that I was moving. I still don't know where, maybe I'll catch a train to the end of the line, go from there. I decided to leave the city, maybe another city, a smaller one, a town, somewhere in the country, the bush, the beach. I'm not sure where, but I'll find somewhere.

He didn't talk much after that. I haven't seen him since, but it didn't matter to me. We had fun, good times, it started as a job and it went to something else.

Denny told me his mother wanted to talk to me, but I decided not to. I couldn't face her. The whole ordeal was bad enough. Maybe it would have been different if Denny told her or even me. But for it to be let out in front of everyone, I was ashamed.

After the removalist came and collected my stuff, the apartment was bare. There were only two bags left, filled with clothes and other crap I'll need.
