10. King and Queen of Lovebird City

Jones' Basement-9: 32 pm, Sunday Evening, Serpent Meeting

''So, we gather here today to not only plan our attack on the Northside but what we are going to do about Erica. I also have an announcement but I'm saving that for later.''

The gang gathers in the basement, the Serpents determined to put an end to Erica's torturous ways. Although this will end in a way that doesn't end in her demise like the last time. The brunette slumps against the wall, keeping an eye on her father from a safe distance.

''For now, we are going to get an update from the inside, Riley? What's going on?''

Stepping up joining her father in front of everybody. Lying is never the answer but she still can't figure out how to get inside Lucas's head.

''Well so far I've met Erica and I think she is learning to trust me. Although she has absolutely no clue who I really am. As far as she knows, I'm just the girl who broke son's heart. Sweet Pea and Joaquin, would you guys help me? Erica thinks she can take me, Bring it on''

Riley is already aware of the fact that she's in his head,  but the only question she has is how to manipulate him into doing what she wants.

''What do you need us to do?''

Riverdale High Cafeteria- 12:32 pm

''Friar!''

The two fellow Serpents are given confused glares from their fellow classmates as they holler over the Running Back. 

''What'd you guys want from me? Cause I'm almost certain that Riley probably got the two of you to do her dirty work for her.''

Hitching her breath as she glances across at her ex. He still has the capability to make her heart stop with just one look. His piercing emerald orbs as if they are entering as the key to her heart.

''Riley? You okay?''

Grabbing her attention as Jughead grabs her attention, as Betty wraps her arms around her boyfriend's shoulders, kissing his cheek. Riley teases the pair because Betty seems to of turned her cold stone brother into a Romeo to her Juliet.

''Well Romeo, I have two guys getting into Friar's head for me so life is pretty good. Betty, can I talk to you for a minute?''

Riley has taken a liking to his brothers' girlfriend, Betty brings a calmness to their family that they've needed since their mother left. She rests her head on Jughead's shoulder, intertwining their fingers. He kisses her forehead, his siblings smile in admiration at the pair. The two of them in their own little world.

''Sure''

Immediately smiling as Betty's soothing nature, becoming best friends with the blonde over the past 3 years that she's dated Riley's brother. Betty met Jughead the summer before 9th grade, after Archie, her longtime crush and best friend rejected her. 

''So what are you and Jug doing for your Anniversary, tonight? I know how important your 3 year anniversary is to the two of you.''

Betty grins from ear to ear, blushing a baby pink shade like a little school girl. 

''He told me that he's going to pick me up from my house after school and then we'll go to Sweet Water River for a picnic. He then said the rest of the night is a mystery so I'm not quite sure what to think, could you help me find something to wear?''

Smiling genuinely at Betty, the first proper smile that she given anybody in the past month since the breakup. 

''Course Betty, that shouldn't even be a question. Of course, I'm going to help you pick out an outfit for your date. So, knowing my brother, you should probably wear your navy long sleeved dress, he told me that he loves seeing you wear that one. And of course, you should be in your classic ponytail, minimalistic makeup. Of course, this is only going to be my own opinion but it's what you look best in.''

A genuine smile as Betty tightens her signature high raised ponytail, grazing lip gloss on her lips and curling on mascara. 

Jones Household, 5:59 pm

''Hey there Juliet''

The Serpent inclines against the door, a coy grin across his lips. His arms enveloped against his chest. The blonde constantly brings a goofy grin to his lips, the love she has given him over the last 3 years is stronger than anything he's ever known. 

''Hey there Romeo''

Riley admires the loving look her brother has in his eyes as he stares at Betty. In her words, he is romantic that doesn't want to admit it to himself. She makes him a better person and vice versa, she just yearns for something like he has.

''You two have fun now, but not too much fun, okay?''

She jokes with the couple as they get lost in each other's eyes, as the whole world collapses around them.
