Maks' POV

I ran out of the bar and tried to hail a cab. Three or four passed me before one finally stopped for me.

"Thank you!" I praised as I got into the cab.

"Just doing my job, where to, sir?" The driver was a really old man, he was at least 80.

I gave him the address to my apartment and tried to calm my nerves. I wanted to get home to Meryl as soon as possible. This old man was taking forever to drive 20 miles. By time he dropped me off, I only had an hour until the next flight to Detroit.

After packing quickly and talking Val into taking me to the airport, we finally left. Considering it was 5:40, there was massive traffic on every road we went down. Both Val and I were getting aggravated, I wanted to get home soon and he wanted to go hang out with Tony and Sharna.

"Come on!!!!" I yelled, frustrated.

After an agonizing fifteen minutes, we finally got through traffic and Val dropped me off at the airport.

"Good luck, bro." Val said as he waved and walked away. I waved back and ran to board my plane. I'd already bought my ticket while waiting for traffic to move and I was forced to sit in Coach...

Once I boarded, I found I was sitting next to an older man.

"Hello, I'm Robert Mitchell." He said as I sat down.

"Hi, I'm Maksim Chmerkovskiy." I grinned and his eyebrows raised.

"What a name! Where are you from, son?" I immediately knew I would enjoy this plane ride.

"The Ukraine." I replied.

"Wow, your folks are having a rough time over there, aren't they? Some people can be so mean to their fellow brothers and sisters. This world is so horrible now. You see, when I was growing up, there wasn't all these grudges between countries. If one country did something wrong to you and then they apologized, that country was forgiven. It's not like that anymore. It's a shame." I could tell the man was extremely wise. All I could do was listen and nod.

"Why are you shaking, son?" The man laughed.

"I'm nervous and anxious." I said smiling.

"Why? You're just on a plane with an old bastard." We both chuckled.

"Well, I haven't touched my wife in a month. Not even an 'I love you, baby' or a kiss. I hurt her and I realized that today. I just don't know what she's going to say when I show up."

"Ahhh, if she loves you she'll forgive you. Then you two will probably have make up sex. Which is the best sex ever." Robert winked.

"I hope so..."

After an eventful hour and a half of talking with Robert, we landed in Detroit. As we were grabbing our carry on luggage, Robert stopped me before I got off of the plane.

"Go get her, Maks. Good luck."

"Thank you, Robert." I say as I climb off of the plane and jump into a cab. This cab ride is faster than the one in New York. Before I knew it, I was standing at my front door with a bouquet of roses and my luggage.

I slowly walked in to find all of the lights off except the bedroom light. After placing my bags on the couch and the flowers on the counter, I tip toed upstairs. I could hear Meryl getting ready for bed and I walked in. Meryl was naked, getting ready to put on her pajamas. This was my chance.

A/N:

What will Meryl say!? Will she yell at him or forgive him!? I guess y'all will have to wait. Mwhahaha 😈😈😂
