Happy New Year!!!!"

Everyone screamed and kissed their loved ones.

Meryl was finally here and she still hadn't told Maks what the doctor had said.

"Happy New Year baby." Maks pulled Meryl into a passionate kiss, almost making her fall over.

By now, the guests had already kissed their loved ones and now they were just watching the Meryl and Maks.

When they pulled apart, Meryl wrapped her arms around Maks' neck and grinned. Maks stared at her, confused.

Meryl pulled him into a tight bear hug and put her lips to his ear.

Maks could feel her breath tickling his hair. After what seemed like forever, she finally spoke.

"Maks we're gonna have a baby. I'm pregnant." She whispered in his ear. The news sent chills down his spine.

They pulled apart, both smiling like goofballs.

"Really?" Maks was in shock.

"Yeah, we're gonna have a baby soon." Maks picked Meryl up and spun her around as the guests stood there in shock. Except Sharna, she squealed like a little girl and jumped up and down.

"What's going on?" Charlie and Tanith asked the excited Sharna.

"You'll see." She blushed and hugged Paul.

As Maks set Meryl down, he screamed with excitement.

"We're gonna have a BABY!!" The whole room erupted with cheers and love. The girls hugged Meryl as the guys patted Maks on the back, then they switched.

Everything was perfect.

The guests were gone and it was almost 2:30 in the morning. Both Meryl and Maks were exhausted and they were lying in bed.

"It still hasn't sunk in yet." Maks said putting his hand on Meryl's stomach.

"I kno-" Meryl looked down at her stomach, confused.

"What? Is there something wrong?" Maks' became instantly worried, expecting the worst.

"No, I think the baby just moved." Meryl giggled.

"How far along do you think you are?"

"The doctor said that I was most likely in between 4 and 6 months. If he's right, we get to find out if it's a boy or a girl tomorrow."

"Happy Birthday." Maks said randomly.

"I think this is the best birthday present I've ever gotten." Meryl giggled.

"Let's get you and the baby to bed." Maks pulled Meryl closer to his chest as they both fell asleep peacefully, except the baby who kept moving.

The movement was annoying after a while, but it didn't bother Meryl.

It meant her baby was alive.
