The next morning I woke up to Maks bringing in a tray of food.

"Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday dear Meryl, Happy Birthday to you!" I sat up and he placed the tray on my lap. It had all of my favorite breakfast foods and a red rose.

"Thank you baby." I kissed his cheek as he sat next to me.

"Anything for my wife and future child." He kissed my lips and then kissed my stomach.

"The baby is moving again. I think he or she likes you." I laughed as the baby moved around frantically.

"Do you want a boy or a girl?" Maks still had his hand on my stomach as I chewed a piece of bacon.

"You know, I don't care as long as it's happy and healthy." I responded with my mouth half full.

"I feel the same way. Should we think of names?" I nodded and we started to think.

"Oh my gosh yes!" I clapped my hands.

"What about Lidiya Ann?" We both nodded.

"Okay, Isabella Rose or Lidiya Ann for a girl."

"Yep! Okay babe you need to get ready for your appointment."

I nodded as Maks took the tray and helped me stand up. I'd never realized how much weight I had gained over the past couple of months. While I was changing, I realized that I was showing. A lot.

And all this time I thought I had gained weight because of the holidays. Never did it occur to me that I might be pregnant.

I pulled my jeans up to my waist and realized that I couldn't button them.

"Shit." I whined. After trying on about ten pairs, I decided to go with leggings.

"Hello! How are we today?" The doctor asked.

"Great! Little one started moving last night." I said as the doctor put the cold gel on my stomach.

"Really? You must be farther along than I thought." He turned on the screen and smiled.

"Oh yeah, you're probably 5 months along, maybe less. Would you like to know the sex of this active little one?" The doctor laughed when he looked back at the screen. I could feel the baby doing acrobatics in my stomach.

"Yes." Maks and I giggled.

"It's a...."
