Maks' POV

After Meryl had left, I laid in bed for about fifteen minutes before actually getting dressed. I opened my pajama drawer and grabbed a comfortable pair of pants and slipped them on. My cell phone rang as I pulled a shirt over my head.

Without looking at who it was, I picked up.

"Hello?"

"Hey Maks." A familiar Ukrainian voice said quietly.

"What's up, Karina?"

"I just wanted to know how it went last night. Is everything okay now?" I could hear the care in her voice.

"Well..."

"What!?" She became impatient.

"Let's just say she might be a little sore today." I chuckled as I caught her torn underwear on the floor in the corner of my eye. Karina was silent for a moment.

"Too much...I didn't need to know that." She giggled.

"But yeah, we're definitely good." I got back on topic after picking up our clothes that were sprawled out all across the bedroom.

"Good. Okay, I gotta go. Bye Maksim." Before I could respond, she hung up.

As I made the bed, I could still smell Meryl's perfume lingering in the air.

She really was amazing. Even when I had hurt her, she forgave me. I vowed right then and there that I would never hurt her again.
