What's in a Name

We had been drinking and speaking of nothing particular when I realised someone was coming.

"Quickly!" I stated quietly, taking Loki's hands, shackling them and reattaching them to the ceiling. I quickly closed the cell door and turned the electricity back on. Grabbing the bottles, I offered one last glance. "See you soon?"

He smiled and gave a slight nod, before plastering a bored expression to his face.

I smiled and left, stopping by security to switch the video feed back.

Loki's POV

She was rushed, knowing someone approached my 'room.'

I had watched the smirk on her face grow wide before she disappeared, and it caused me to realise just how confused I felt.

'This woman knows everything of my whole existence, yet I know not even her name. Why does she not offer it? Why must she be so enticing, yet distant. I know she has an appreciation for me, it is obvious, but her mood had swung so suddenly, as though it were a hurricane changing directions.
Why was I so worried as to her opinion anyway? It is not as though I feel anything towards her, for she has nothing I would look for. Her skin pale, her hair as deep a red as blood, her eyes like droplets from the ocean itself... Oh no, I shall not be enticed or deceived.
Though she is quite an interesting specimen, and at least I can fulfill my needs with her. Yes, that is what causes me such troubles, I have been deprived of that which any sane person desires. I am lustful, and once I satisfy that lust, I shall not be seduced by that woman any longer.'

The door opens, just as I finish my thought. That man of iron wanders in as though this is his own housing.

"What's up Reindeer Games? Where's your Hannibal Lecter mask?"

I went to reply, but nothing escaped my mouth. 'Damn that woman!'

"What's wrong? Cat got your tongue?"

'Oh, how I would love to throw him from this craft into the deepest depths of the ocean.'

"Awe, you're breaking my heart here. Well, that's okay, I came to do the talking anyway. Now, about that fan girl of yours."

I hoped he would speak her name.

"You mess with her and you've got me to go through. I owe her big time, so don't you dare lay a hand on her or mess with her in any way. Because if you do, I will bring fire and hell down on you, got it?" His face was so serious. He seemed to truly believe he was intimidating me.

I would have laughed in his face had that damned woman not taken my voice. I settled for a smirk, eyeing him off like a piece of meat served on a platter.

"God, you're creepy. Has anyone ever told you that?"

'He's getting on my nerves. I wonder if I can break these chains.' One hard pull sent a shock through me, I felt as though I'd been hit by that big ofe's lightning.

"Oh yeah, careful not to pull on those too tight, it can be a shocking outcome." He left, whistling as he wandered back down the hallway.

"Hey!" That voice.
"I thought you were supposed to be muzzled, and where is my security guy?"

'Oh no, not him, that arrogant, in your face tone. Added to the annoyance of Stark, they would be the death of me.'

"Fury, is it?"

I looked up to see her standing at the doorway, her hand waiting to be shaken.

"Ah, there you are. I was hoping you'd be up soon. Now what's the meaning of this?"
