It had been a week since I had last seen Calum. I'm not going to lie that I missed seeing him, but I couldn't forget what he did to me. In that week I had moved to a different hotel so I wouldn't have to deal with this whole thing. He blew up my phone by endless calls and texts.
After I couldn't take it anymore so I changed my number, but I still kept in contact with the other boys because I wasn't going to let Calum ruin our friendship. I only gave them my number only if they promised to never give it Calum. I know it must have been hard for them to keep it just to themselves, but in the end they agreed.
Michael had invited me to go to one of their private concerts they were having in town. At first I hesitated, for obvious reasons and finally he ended up convincing me. If it wasn't hard enough he made me promise and now I really needed to go because I never break my promises.
Today was finally the day and I couldn't help but feel nervous. I got changed quick and my driver took me to this old karaoke joint not too far from my hotel. I felt a sting in my chest, sweaty palms, and honestly trying real hard not to puke. If it wasn't obvious enough, I was so nervous how this day was going to be like.
I went inside and there wasn't that many people as I thought there would be. I quickly tried to find Michael and mostly just trying to not cause too much attention. I spotted Michael at the back of the room and he was talking to other people, but I couldn't really see who.
I made my way around the tables and booths until I reached Michael. I then realized Calum was in front of him and I was debated whether to just forget this and leave. I decided not to and just tried to stay calm.
"Hey Michael" I said almost a whisper.
"Hey Blue, I'm so glad you actually came" he said as he embraced me with a slightly suffocating hug.
"I promised remember? Just so you know I don't break my promises."
"Good to know Blue. Anyways we're about to start, so why don't you go sit down. That reminds me I saved you a seat in the front row just incase you actually showed up" he said nervously. I knew he was acting this way since Calum was right there.
"Umm yeah sure thanks by the way." I was honestly so uncomfortable being in the same room as Calum, but I had to deal with it.
I sat down and a couple minutes later they started and I honestly couldn't help but notice that for most of the time Calum was looking at me and had no intention of hiding it. I tried to ignore him but I really wanted to see him and not feel so weird about it.
They were almost done playing and I couldn't resist not looking at Calum anymore and I turned to face him. His expression softened and gave me a crooked smile. I didn't want to let my guard down and show him how vulnerable I was so I looked away slowly as if his smile didn't even faze me.
I talked to the guys after their gig was over and we were interrupted by Calum.
"Blue can we talk for a moment? Alone?" He said in a serious tone. He pulled me aside where no one could hear us.
"So what is it that you want to talk about?" I said in a bored tone.
"Blue you know exactly what I want to talk about. I want to tell what happened that night, it was..."
"a mistake.."
"Yes a mistake because she kissed me and I didn't want her to."
"No you didn't let me finish. It was a mistake going to that party with you and I don't even now how I even agreed to go there. Honestly I think this whole thing we had going on, this 'relationship', was a complete mistake."
"No Blue you can't say that."
"You know what maybe we rushed into this relationship way to fast. I mean we don't really know each other that well."
"Blue you know who I am and you know I would never want to hurt you that way!"
"Well maybe I don't know you like I thought I did. I don't even know if I can trust you."
"Blue I'm truly sorry for the pain I caused you, but I won't give up on you that easy. I don't care how long I takes but I'll find a way to earn back your trust."
"I think its best if we just stay as friends for now."
"If that's as good as it's going to get then I have no other choice than to except it, for now. Just know that every moment I spend time with you I'll be thinking of that moment when I get to kiss those lips of yours."
My face turned beet red and all I managed to say was, "I have to go now."
********
"Michael do we really have to go? I'd rather stay here in my hotel room and watch a movie."
"No Blue, I won't let you stay in that cave of yours isolated from everyone."
"That's kind of what I'm going for actually."
"Well I'm outside so there is no way I'm going to let you stay. Either you get outside yourself or I'll go in there and get you myself."
"You're lying you wouldn't come up here and I bet you're not even outside."
"Fine then you've been warned."
There was no way Michael was here. I mean I didn't even tell him where I was staying at. Besides I was not going to another party because the last one didn't exactly end on a good note.
Someone knocked on my door and I was pretty sure it was room service since I had just ordered it. I opened the door and saw Michael standing there in front of me with a wide smile.
"How did you..."
"How did I know you were staying here well I have my ways Blue. I told you I was outside speaking of which why aren't you dressed up?" he said as he gave me quizzical look.
"How was I supposed to know you weren't joking. Besides I just ordered room service because I'm starving, so if you don't mind" I said as I pointed him to leave the room.
"Well that can be arranged as soon as we finish eating you'll go with me to the party."
"We?"
"Yes we, I mean if I'm going to wait for you the least you can do is give me some of your food" he said as if the answer was obvious.
"Well sorry to burst your bubble, but I don't share my food."
"Whatever it's fine I wasn't hungry anyways. Will you just get dressed come on" he said as he gave me the puppy dog eyes.
"Ugh don't give me those eyes I'll get dressed if you stop doing that" I said as I left to the next room. I decided to wear these black ripped jeans with a white shirt and a leather jacket. I checked myself in the mirror to see if I looked presentable and I honestly thought I looked good. I went back with Michael and I saw his jaw drop.
"I think I see a little drool right here" I said as I motioned my finger down my chin.
"Sorry Blue it's that you look hot. Wait sorry I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable" he said as his face turned red.
"Thanks and dude it's okay don't worry about it. Oh I see the food is here so let's eat and before you say anything yes I am going to let you eat so you'll stop complaining."
"See I knew I liked you for some reason." I rolled my eyes and said, "Such a freeloader."
We ate and we left to this so called "party" and I already started regretting this. "Michael you know what I thought this through and I don't want to go. Take me back please."
"Blue everything is going to be okay" he said he held my and gave it a light squeeze for reassurance.
