I managed to open my eyes slowly as my head hung low. I carefully moved my neck to see that my arms were tied securely on the arm rests of this old wooden chair. I looked at my legs to find out that they too have been tied to the chair. My body felt weak and unresponsive. The room was barely visible, there was this light that was shining down on me and it seemed to be the only source of light in the entire room. I lifted my head to scan the area and it seemed to be an abandoned warehouse.
I started fidgeting with the rope that was tied securely to my writs but it was useless. I heard floorboards creek from a distance, for what seemed to be the other side of the room, but it was hard make out what it was. A shadowy figure was approaching, only to reveal that my previous suspicions had been correct. Matt.
"Are you surprised to see me?" he croaked. He sent me a crooked grin that clearly demonstrated that he had no remorse whatsoever.
I just sat there in silence, not knowing what to do. All I could think was when I get my hands on this bastard I'm going to beat him to a bloody pulp.
He came closer and was now in front of me. "Are you made at me?" He said as he got a hold of my chin and jerked it up. "You don't know how long I've been waiting to be face to face with you."
I just simply rolled my eyes in response.
"Oh how I missed that bad attitude of yours," he pressed his lips against mine.
I moved out the way. I felt so disgusted of how he didn't find any of this wrong.
"Are you mad at me or something?"
I let out a laugh. "Mad at you, noooo. What could you have done that would make me mad?"
"Then why are you acting like this?"
I was furious because I could see it in his eyes that he found all of this amusing. "You seriously need to untie me you ....you-"
He cut me off. "Rapist. Go on, say it!"
"You literally disgust me!" I said as I spit on his face.
He slowly removed the spit. "Oh boo who, poor little defenseless girl" he said as he brought up both hands and made them into a fist and pretended to be crying. "I'm the one who should be angry; I spent three years locked up all thanks to you. You couldn't keep your mouth shut but luckily I have influential parents that helped me through all of this." He gave me a smug smile like he had accomplished something. "I knew that i shouldn't have gone out with you in the first place, even my parents warned me not to go out with someone like you."
I could feel my nails digging into the palm of my hand. "Really? You blame me for what happened, even though you know fucking well that we are in this fucking mess because of you!"
He came forward and slapped me right across my face. "How dare you fucking say it was my fault! All you had to do was keep quiet and we wouldn't be here now would we?"
I felt my cheek sting a little but it didn't faze me: there was enough adrenaline going throughout my body that I didn't give in. "Don't be pointing fingers at me, when you're the only one to blame!"
"My mother told me that you weren't good enough for me. She said that you were after my money." He widen his eyes like he had remembered something. "Now I know why you're with that one guy. Hmm what's his name? Calum."
I felt my body stiffen when he mentioned his name.
He tried to hide his smile but failed. "Oh so he means more to you than I thought by the look on your face."
I could see how much he enjoyed watching me feel vulnerable and being transparent. "Don't you dare-"
"Don't you dare what? Oh please, you're in no condition to be demanding anything." He looked away pensively contemplating what to say next. Matt tapped his index finger on his temple and snapped his fingers like he had thought of an idea. "I know what I'm going to do. I'm going to hit you where it hurts you the most" he said while giving a cynical laugh as he headed towards the door.
