(Edd's POV)
"Wake up loser!" Eduardo yelled from outside the door. "It's your first day of high school and I'm not gonna have any patience Edd!"
Sunlight flooded through my velvet red curtains as I shot open my eyes. Little dust particles danced through the air that made me remember giggling at them when I was little. But I am in high school now, and I've grown up. I looked around my light green room. I looked at all my drawings taped up. Once even from years before. Unlike most artists I enjoy looking at my past drawings. I ran my fingers through my thick, knotted, brown hair as I realized the time. I slept in thirty extra minutes! I shot up out of bed pulling off my grey shirt that said Smeg Head, replacing it then changing pants. I Slipped on my favorite dark, forest green hoodie and opened my door. But before I forgot I turned around to see only my favorite cat in the world, the grey and blacked striped beauty... The green eyed darling, Ringo. I walked across my room just so I could say goodbye to her as I always did. The cute little thing..Sometimes I feel like she knows how I'm feeling.
"Wish me luck buddy." I mumbled stroking her. She purred and rubbed her head along my arm.
Finally I headed downstairs. I rushed down the creaky, dust covered, carpet stair case so quickly I almost fell over once I came to a stop. I walked into the kitchen and the aroma of food hit me in the face as soon as I walked in. Aunt Karla was making breakfast. She wore her pink apron as usual whenever she cooked. She had brushed out her thin brown hair and pulled it into a messy bun. Her emerald green eyes sparkled brightly. After living with her for eleven years I know that she loves to cook at this point. She was wearing her light blue fluffy slippers to keep her feet warm from the cold, white tile flooring. Her favorite white turtle neck sweater that was hard to see her without was on, and she had a necklace that her mother gave her on. The necklace was a real silver angel carved necklace. Grandma told her she found it in this house under the stairs. God this place was ancient. My great grandmother grew up here! Which explains the creaky stairs.
"Finally up I see?" Aunt Karla smiled at me, as I was yanked out of my thoughts "How does bacon and toast sound for breakfast?"
"That sounds great aunt Karla! Thank you!" I smiled with glee. I sat down at the table surprisingly even before Eduardo came downstairs..Especially considering HE was the one who woke me up in the first place. As usual I shrugged it off. Probably because Aunt Karla finished cooking and she brought over the food. "So....Uncle Dan is at work I assume?" I mumbled picking up a strip of bacon.
"Yes he is.." Aunt Karla sighed. "He'll be back at ten later tonight.. He said he wasn't suppose to have a shift today....Some job huh?..."
(Nobody's POV)
Eduardo thumped down the stairs surprised to see Edd there before him. Although he didn't say anything he glared at Edd before sitting down. To break the silence that lasted ten minuets. Karla awkwardly said, "Sooooo....You boys exited for school?"
"Eh......" Eduardo grumbled finishing his breakfast.
"Well I'm really nervous." Edd mumbled, gulping down some water.
"Trust me Edd." Eduardo sighed "You'll feel nervous now but by next week it'll be nothing special..."
"Huh...Sense when did you give me advice?" Edd smiled.
"I don't know...Come on or we're gonna be late..." Eduardo stood up, and grabbed his backpack off the chair he sat at. Edd did the same. Edd waved goodbye to his aunt Karla as they stepped out the door.
