Down The Block (EddMatt)

That little smile

                          After a fun lunch hour with Matt, Tom, and Tord, They unfortunately had to separate until tomorrow.. Or so they thought. All the grades had been dismissed and Edd and Eduardo were heading home. Today, Mark was with them... Edd already knew though that he would be there every other day unless he was sick... Edd was secretly wishing that Matt was there, he wasn't enjoying talking about him behind his back.

                "So he actually helped you up? It was that simple?!" Eduardo laughed.

                "W-well yes." Edd mumbled

                "And he held your hand?" Mark held back laughter waiting for an answer.

                "Yes.." Edd sighed. The two eleventh graders began laughing and Edd felt like maybe this wasn't a good idea...Maybe they wanted to make a joke out of poor Matt...In all honesty Edd was just too scared to ask. Luckily his wish came true and he heard Matt behind him.

                "Mark wait up!!" Matt called from far away running up to him. Mark mumbled to them to change topic while Matt was there. And don't act suspicious. Once Matt caught up he slowed down to the speed that they were going, he obviously still had energy though. "Edd? Why are you walking on this street? Do you live around here?"

                 "Yeah my house is right here." Edd pointed at his house.

                 "No way! I'm just down the block! Awesome!!" Matt cheered.

                 "Cool, we get to walk to school together!" Edd smiled Mark already heading to Matt and his house, and Eduardo inside the house.

                 "Oh my god today just keeps getting better!" Matt squealed hugging him. "See you tomorrow!" Matt ran off down the block.

                  "Bye..See you." Instead of going inside Edd was waiting for Matt to be out of site. Before he turned a corner Matt turned around, giggling seeing Edd still there. He gave him a little smile and he kept walking.

                     Only then did Edd dash inside the house. He put down his backpack on the counter. He didn't even bother to read the note that his aunt Karla put there to let them know she went out for groceries. Edd had a idea, he ran up the aged staircase and ran to his room. He looked out the window and to his luck he could see Matt walking on the sidewalk to his house. He could tell it was him by his orange hair that practically glowed in the sun. Edd remembered that little smile of his and he began to realize the feeling of blood rushing to his cheeks, in the result of blushing.

(Edd's POV) 

                 Oh god what is this feeling.... I don't like him...I can like him!! For his sake! Maybe I should just tell him what's going on...But even then Eduardo would probably make my life a living hell if I did so. I hear a knock at my door and I quickly look away from the window. Eduardo walked into my room.

               "What are you doing in here you weirdo? Are you masturbating or something?" He teased.

              "Ha, ha very funny." I roll my eyes.

              "Whatever.. Look. Y'know those two people Matt was with?" Eduardo sat down next to Edd.

               "I guess? Why are we talking about Tom and Tord?" Edd mumbled.

               "Well I used to know them well. I asked them to do the same  thing I'm asking of you. To find out what happened at his old school... Cause it's probably hilarious! But they didn't go through with it... Those pussy's got to know him well and realized that he was a 'good person'," Eduardo rolled his eyes doing finger quotes. "they said that he didn't deserve to be humiliated... I made them pay for that....."

               "Y-you mean, you hurt them?!" I gasp feeling horrible.

             "I'll leave you to find out." Eduardo put a hand on Edd's shoulder. "I know you won't let us down.." Eduardo smiled, got up and left.
