Down The Block (EddMatt)

Sidewalk

                           Edd and Eduardo trailed along the sidewalk on the way to the high school. Edd looked at the grass peaking out between the cracks of the sidewalk as he stepped over them. The sun was shining in his face, it still felt like summer to him. Even though it was warm the leaves were already beginning to turn the beautiful shades of red, orange, and yellow. This was really early in the year for autumn leaves. The Sky was spotless, not a single cloud in sight. 

                         "Ugh....We're is Mark?!" Eduardo growled looking around. At this point Edd knew that Eduardo meets Mark right around the end of the street, to walk the rest of the way to the school with him. Edd just stayed silent being drowned in his own thoughts. After a few moments of silence Eduardo broke it. "Edd!" He shouted. Edd jumped out of his thoughts. 

                          "U-uh. Yeah?" Edd stumbled over his words.

                          "You've been really quiet..I've been saying your name for like two minuets now! Don't tell me that you're still nervous are you?" He teased him with a light shove, a light shove that almost knocked Edd over.

                          "O-of course not.." Edd mumbled. Rubbing his arm awkwardly. As soon as those words slipped out of his mouth he dove right back in to his thoughts again.

(Edd's POV) 

                  Oh god today is gonna be terrible! I mean, I can't think of anything that will go right!! All my friends are in a different high school, I'm not sporty like other guys, and I am super short! Sure that's not a big deal but it is in high school!!  I just wish my friends were with me...It would make it so much easier.... All thanks to my home being just out of range to the other high school... The less populated one...The one I'd rather go to....I'm going into a school with about two-thousand people or more! I am so screwed!!

(Eduardo's POV)

                  Jeez..Edd has been quiet for the past five minuets..This is new considering he's quite a blabber mouth....He must be upset or something but ...Pfft. Why do I even care? Sure he's my cousin but I don't need to be any softer with him then I am with anybody else...Fuck, where the hell is Mark?It's not possible he's sick on the first day..Is he trying to piss me off?

                 Eduardo realized that they arrived but Edd was once again deep in his thoughts. 

(Edd's POV)

                -and above all that's going to lead into a bad life overall.... Suddenly I heard something pierce through my thoughts.

                 "Edd!!" Eduardo yelled at Edd for the third time. Edd looked at him in shock but before he said anything Eduardo looked away from him and grumbled, "We're here shithead."  The rude comment went through one of Edd's ears and out the other. He was to busy gazing at the tall grey brick building looming over him.
