Why Is There Heat?
Female werewolves are becoming rarer and the entire species is in decline. Real mates were taking too long to find. Now the council has made an event called The Run. It happens in two times a year when the females get their heat May and October. All unmated wolves are forced to participate, otherwise the only other option is death.Names
In wolf culture it is considered impolite to use ones real name unless you are blood-related or they are your mate.About Females
Females are property of their fathers and later their mate. When a female has pups they belong to only to male that helped create them, not the female. They have two heats a year in May and October. The Run
An event that the council came up with to increase the rate of mating females and males. All unmated wolves in that state must participate, rouges or not. This includes all unmated pack members, Alphas, rouges, outsiders, and loners. The rules state that it must be done in wolf form but at this point, the males usually make the females shift so they can see what they look like before they claim them, then force them to shift back and be mated.
