She woke up first, satisfied and smiling. Turning her face, her eyes settled on Matthew. He was still sleeping on his back with his right hand flung over his face. The bed sheet at his waist barely covered him while his right leg was bent and above the covers. He looked so comfortable and big in her bed. After her trip to Mexico, she would fantasize about waking up with her mystery man and now here he was. He was devastatingly handsome. He had the beginnings of stubble on his face as she ran her finger along his rugged jaw. He swatted at her finger, mumbled something and fell back to sleep. She softly ran her fingers through his short hair, missing his curls. His hair was so soft and silky. She smiled again feeling her heart swell with love for him.

He yawned and stretched. "G'mornin' sweetheart," was his greeting.

Her smile deepened. "I wish I could stay here all day."

"I know what you mean." He reached for her and gave her a long, lingering kiss that sent shivers of delight through her. "Now I wouldn't mind doin' this every mornin'."

She nodded in agreement and licked her lips. "We have a deposition today with John DelGuidice. We'd better get dressed."

Matthew reluctantly left the bed in search for his clothes while Skylar jumped into the shower. By the time she came out, her bed was made but he was gone. She couldn't stop smiling about last night. He was warm and kind. Did he really propose to her? She looked at herself in the mirror and suddenly all pleasure left her. He proposed to get her out of a jam. He never mentioned love. Would her loving him be enough? She wasn't sure. What she was sure of was being Jonathan's wife was out of the question. She couldn't give up Matthew, not after they just found each other again.

Again, they went to work together. He smiled the whole train ride there. "We're havin' lunch today. I'll accept no excuses," he said as he held the door open for her while they entered the office building.

"Yes sir," she said as she saluted him. He laughed richly as they got into the elevator. It was a little crowded so Matthew made his way in and kept Skylar by his side so she wouldn't get stepped on. As they got off the elevator and parted near the reception desk, Matthew gave her a knowing wink, which made Skylar blush as she walked towards her office.

"You're glowing again, Skylar. Is it because of a certain associate?" Nancy asked.

"Don't you have something to type?" Skylar teased. Nancy feigned shock and started typing on her computer. "That's better."

"The DelGuidice deposition is starting in an hour and here's a package for you that came FedEx overnight."

"From whom?"

"That's the weird thing. No return address."

Skylar nodded, grabbed her messages and the package and walked into her office. She sat at her desk and noticed she had e mails. She opened her inbox. It was from Matthew proposing again. She laughed, answered yes 5 times and sent it. Looking over the package, she quickly opened it and pulled out bank statements and a note.

KEEP THIS SAFE. I KNOW YOU WOULD WANT THIS. She put the note aside. Inside were papers and a DVD. She put the DVD aside and reached in to get the papers. The bank statements were from her father's company. The cancelled checks were from Kyoto International from overseas. Montgomery Enterprises had dealings in the United States and two companies in Europe but Kyoto wasn't one of them. The statements showed a large amount of deposits over a period of two months and then one huge withdrawal. Skylar's hands started to shake. This evidence proved her father's company was somehow involved in some sort of money laundering. Was it connected to the DeGuidice case? Wondering what to do with this evidence, she decided to keep it out of sight and hid it in her desk under lock and key.
