Skylar woke up wrapped in a silken cocoon of euphoria. Quickly dressing and grabbing a light breakfast. She decided to go down to the beach to get a tan.
Letting the sun warm her body, she relaxed and began to drift off thinking about the kisses she and Matthew shared recently. It was amazing. It seems that in the short time she's known him; she couldn't stop thinking about how she lived without him. Slowly he started becoming a part of her life. She was beginning to feel alive and whole for the first time in her life. She couldn't help but smile. Her musings were interrupted by a male voice.
"Am I the reason for that smile?" She opened her eyes to find Matthew smiling down at her. "Howdy."
Her smile was radiant. "Good morning. Come join me." She made some room on her towel. He sat down, legs bent with his arms around his legs. Once he was out of the sun, she got a good look at him. He seemed to be tan all over, wearing just a pair of blue and black swimming trunks.
His eyes roamed over her figure. "I love your bikini." His voice was low and smooth.
A blush like a shadow ran over her cheeks. "Thank you." She had to make him stop looking at her like that or she'd do something foolish. "How'd you sleep?" she asked.
His eyes held hers. "Fine, if you like sleepin' in a big bed by yourself while a gorgeous woman sleeps right next door."
Again she felt the heat creep up into her face. "Did you change rooms?" she joked. His mouth twitched with amusement. Pulling her eyes away from him, she watched him draw circles in the sand with his toes. How can he make something so cute seem erotic? She could feel his eyes on her but refused to look at him. "Want to go swimming?" she asked, think that was the safest suggestion.
"Sure." He stood up, grabbing her hand as he helped her up. They ran into the water and swam for a bit until Matthew splashed her and they started playing in the water. First, it was just splashing each other and then it turned to catch. When he caught her, he would hold her in his embrace as he brought her under the water with him. When they broke the surface, she would try to swim away but he would grab her ankle and drag her back to him. He tried to kiss her but she would splash him and swim away. He reached out, gathering her into his arms, he held her snugly. "Hungry?"
She gasped in delight as he nibbled on her neck. "Starved." She swam towards the shore and got out. He followed her to where she left her towel.
They dried off and raced each other to the house. He let Skylar win. When they walked into the house, they noticed some of the maids were setting up for lunch near the pool.
"Where's everybody?" Matthew asked the maid named Lucy. She smiled at him and told him how most of the people went speed buggy racing down at the beach and asked if she could be of more assistance to him. He just smiled. Lucy kept looking him over until Skylar requested more juice. Lucy gave her a dirty look and then left. He saw the scowl on Skylar's face and chuckled. "Jealous?"
"Yes. Very."
He held her chair out for her as she sat down. He leaned forward to whisper in her ear. "Good, that means you care."
She let the ripple of heat flow through her before she turned to look at him. "Was there any doubt?"
He smiled and strode to his chair. "Nope," he said as he sat down across from her. The rest of lunch was eaten in silence until Lucy came back.
Lucy's blue eyes sent him a private message of interest. "Is there anything else you need, Mr. McAlister?" she purred. Her long silky black hair was held in a ponytail and her maid outfit was really a tight tee shirt, knotted in the front accenting her larger breasts, and very short shorts. Skylar rolled her eyes.
