Usually before I write different scenes, I would Google for relevant images and videos for inspiration before diving straight into the writing. I'll be depositing all my reference materials here for you readers to get a glimpse of how I conceptualised the ideas and pieced everything together in the story :)
This was an important picture that I came across while researching on 'cutting' when I was trying to write Diana. It made it clear to me that most people cut simply to feel physical pain over emotional pain and that they weren't intending to take their own lives. It also reminded me of how dangerous self-harm can be; cutting into a major artery could possibly be fatal or lead to complications.Â
These were the pictures I used to help me describe Diana's street art :) There's a lot of cool stuff out there (3D optical illusion kind of art) and I've always been fascinated.Â
