Chapter 1: The asking

Mike was pacing throughout his room trying to figure out the perfect way to ask El out on a date.
"I could use the supercom? No, no that's stupid."
After multiple hours of pacing and thinking he threw himself on his bed out of frustration. "I'll never figure it out!" He layed there for a few more minutes, then sprung up out of his bed. I'll just go over there and ask her. He thought.

He hopped on his bike and rode all the way over to El's cabin. He was so deep in thought he almost missed the turn to get to the cabin. He set his bike down and walked up to the front door nervously playing with the hem of his shirt. He did the secret knock that Hopper had taught him to use. The door opened and he saw Hopper standing there with a cigarette in between his fingers. Mike gulped nervously and said "H-hi, sir"
"What do you want Wheeler"
Right as Mike was about to answer he saw a small petite figure pop out from behind Hopper.
"Mike, what are you doing here?" El said with a huge beaming smile on her face.
"U-um I was hoping I would be able to talk to you?" He said reciprocating the same smile.
"Dad, can mike and I talk in my room?"
"Fine."
"Thanks Dad!" El said while dragging mike into her room.
"Keep the door open and no funny business Wheeler!" Hopper yelled
"Ok!" El and Mike yelled back

El sat on her bed, smiling, and said "What'd you want to talk about?"
"U-um well, I-i was wondering if u-um" come on keep it together wheeler "you wanted to go on a date with m-me?" Mike said clearly nervous.
"Date?" She said with confusion
"U-um a date is when two people who um really like each other, more than friends, hang out and u-um do stuff together"
"Kissing?" El said shyly
Mike blushed and looked away shyly "Yeah, we can kiss."
"Yes."
Mike looked at her with confusion "Huh?"
"Yes I'll go on a date with you." She said with a shy smile on her face
"Really?! U-um I mean, great! I'll call you on the supercom later and we'll figure out when we can go on the date?" Mike said clearly ecstatic
"Yes" El said standing up and placing a kiss to his cheek. Mike blushed furiously when her lips pulled away.
"Bye mike."
"B-bye El." He said still fazed from the kiss. He stumbled a little out the door, El giggled at his actions.

Mike biked home with a huge smile put across his face. When he got to a place where there was no one around he screamed
"YES SHE SAID YES!"
He went along with the day still with a huge smile across his face.
