Chapter 2: The Date

Mike got home from talking to El about their date and he went straight to the supercom to talk to her.
"El?.... El are you there?"
"Yes mike, I'm here."
"So, do you want to go on our date on Saturday?"
"Yes, Saturday sounds perfect."
Mike could practically hear her smile from the supercom.
"Ok, I'll pick you up at 11?" Mike asked with a beaming smile on his face.
"Hold on let me ask Dad."
Mike could hear faint talking from the other end.
"Yes, he said I can go."
"Great! I'll see you at 11."
"Yes 11."
"Bye El"
"Bye Mike."
Mike put down the supercom with a huge shining smile on his face. Then he started worrying about what they were going to do on the date
Go to the pool? No dumbass she doesn't know how to swim. Go on a picnic? No. We'll go to the movies to see back to the future! Yes.

Saturday couldn't have come sooner for El but the day had finally come. She was riffling through her clothes trying to find something to wear. She pulled out a red flannel.... no. After multiple minutes of trying to find something to wear she pulled out a blue shirt with a design of paint spatters on it and a pair of overalls. She looked in the mirror and was finally satisfied with what she saw.

She sat on the couch nervously waiting for mike to show up. She looked at the clock "11... 0... 5, 11:05." After for what felt like an eternity she heard a knock on the door. She opened the door and saw mike, he was holding a bouquet of flowers. She looked up at him obviously a little annoyed at how late he was.
"You're late" She said walking back into the house
"I know, I'm sorry, I missed the turn to get here." Mike said closing the door behind him walking up to El.
He put a hand up to her cheek and could feel her cheeks heating up under the touch of his skin on hers "I'll make it up to you i promise."
Mike really took a look at what she was wearing and a blush crept up to his cheeks. He tucked a loose hair behind her ear, leaned in, and whispered "you look beautiful." That had earned a giggle from El.
He intertwined his fingers with hers "Shall we go?"
"Yes" El said with a shy smile on her face.
Mike then realized he still was holding the flowers he bought for her "Oh i almost forgot, i bought these for you" he said with a little smile and a huge blush on his cheeks.
"Thank you" El said with a matching smile and blush.

El POV (A/N: woah look at me changing up povs)

I hopped on the back of Mike's bike and wrapped my arms around his torso. Old memories came flooding back as into my brain as we headed off to... wherever we were going Mike didnt tell me.
"Where are we going?"
"You'll find out, it's a surprise"
Hopper taught me that word a couple months ago so i know what hes talking about (an: i hate this fxcking line but im tired so its fine)
I fake pouted and i heard mike chuckle from that which always brings a smile to my face.

We pulled up to a big building a look of confusion sprouted on my face which mike recognized instantly
"Its called a movie theater we get candy and we watch a movie on a huge screen, It's really fun."
"Cool" i said beaming from excitement. Mike reached his hand out for me to take which i gladly accepted. We walked hand in hand into the big building. We walked up to a table that had all sorts of food on it, not eggos sadly, mike said it was called a consession stand.
"What do you want" Mike said smiling down on me. I looked at a red box that said 'skittles'.
"How about those" i said while pointing at the box.
"Sure, by the way those are my favorite i think you'll like them"
We got our candy and sat down in our seats. I was cold so i snuggled into Mike's side. He put his arm around me and smiled down at me.

Mike POV WOAH
I looked down at her to make sure she was enjoying the movie and couldn't help but notice how beautiful she was i knew i was missing the movie but at this point i really didn't care she was all that mattered to me. She looked up and smiled at me which made my smile grow bigger and a soft blush creep onto my cheeks. I continued to stroke her hair and she snuggled into my side and we kept watching the movie.
The movie ended and we walked out of the building hand in hand.
"You ready to go"
"Yeah lets go"
We pulled up to hopper's cabin and El hopped off my bike. I walked up to her.
"I-i had a really nice time" i said while looking deep into her eyes damn it wheeler quit stuttering
"Me too" she said with a huge smile and soft blush but im not going to lie... so did I. I put my hand on her cheek and the next thing i know we are both leaning in inches away from each others lips. I could feel her hot breath against my skin. Then hopper opens the door ruining the moment smh.
"Wheeler shouldn't you be leaving" Hopper says with a smug grin on his face ugh sure he thinks he's so sly smh
"Y-yeah bye El"
"Bye mike"
I hop on my bike, give El a small wave, and head home with a huge smile on my face that feel like could never go away even though i didn't get to kiss El.
Smh hopper.
I set my bike down on the grass and run upstairs to my room. Nancy comes out of her room and looks at me.
"Why are you so smiey mike, did something happen on your date with El" she said in a teasing tone
"N-nothing"
"Mmmhhhmmm that's why you're stuttering, smiling, and blushing like an idiot sureeeee"
"Whatever nance night"
"Night loverboy"
"N-NANCY SHUT IT"
"Fine fine *cough cough* loverboy"
I just gave her an eyeroll and closed my door. I drifted off into a peaceful sleep still thinking about my date with El and hopefully she was doing the same.

El POV

I had just closed the door after mike had ridden off.
"Sooo how was your date with loverboy there" hopper said in a teasing tone
"Great" i said with a blush and smile
"He didn't try anything on you now did he?"
"N-NO! Dad Mike's not like that"
"Good cause if he did i would have to hunt him down myself"
"Yeah sureeeee we all know you're just a big sofie on the inside im going to bed night"
"Night kiddo"
I drifted off into a peaceful sleep still thinking about my date with mike the smile never leaving my face.

A/N: first of all..... HAHA SYKE YOU THOUGHT THEY WERE GONNA KISS NAHHHHHH and peoples guess what..... im not feeling like crap today so i got some writing done WOAH

I actually like this chapter lemme know what ya think btw its not proof read sooooo.... peace out -Ana
