third POV

Mike rode on his bike to El's house. He was deep in his thoughts as the wind blew through his hair. Oh my god why did he fucking kiss me? What's El going to think? Is she going to hate me? Is Will going to hate me?  I can't believe he had the fucking nerve to kiss me he knew i have a girlfriend. Is he gay? He probably is. Mike thought as he pulled up to his girlfriends house. He walked up to the door and knocked on it. El opened the door and her eyes widened.

"Hey Mike" El said as she threw herself in his arms. Mike nervously wrapped his arms around her waist.

"Hey" Mike said as he pulled away almost immediately. El gave him a look of confusion. Mike dismissed it and walked inside.

"What's wrong?" El asked as Mike started pacing.

"Is hopper home?"

"No, he's at work, he's always at work" El muttered the last part under her breath. Mike didn't notice.

"Mike, tell me what's wrong" Mike sat down on the couch.

"Well. Will kissed me"

"Wait. Is he gay?"

"How do you know that word?"

"I heard it on t.v."

"Oh. I think he's gay, i mean why else would he kiss me"

"How did you react?"

"Well, um, i just said i can't do this right now and walked away" El stood up.

"Mike! You just walked away?! He's probably heartbroken! He's probably going through a lot right now. He's trying to figure out who he is and he put a lot on the line when he kissed you and you just walked away?! Why didn't you help him or talk through it with him?!" Mike stood there in shock and guilt. He had never seen El yell like that. He also felt horrible for doing that to will.

"I love you but I can't see you right now, please go" El said crossing her arms and looking at the ground, tears welling up in her eyes. Saying those words hurt El but the sight of him made her mad right now. Mike was heartbroken when she asked him to leave.

"El please" Mike said walking closer to her.

"Mike, just please go" He did as she told and walked out the door.

"I love you" Mike said after she shut the door, tears running down his face. Mike got on his bike and rode home, the tears never stopping. Mike got to his house and ran up the stairs to his room. Mike slammed his door and kicked the wall still sobbing.

His door opened and Steve and Nancy were standing there with concerned looks on their faces. Nancy walked up to the teenage boy that was sobbing and shaking.

"What's wrong" Mike tried to talk but couldn't because he was crying so much. He put his head on her cheat as he cried.

"Shhhh it's ok you dont have to tell me right now" Nancy said as she rubbed her hand on his back. Mike calmed down a little bit after a while.

"Do you want to tell us what happened?" Nancy said as Steve sat down next to Mike.

"Me and El got in a fight" Mike said with a red and puffy face.

"What was it about?" Steve asked

"Well, will kissed me and I told her my reaction and she got mad at me because i just walked away instead of talking with him"
