Chapter 28: Let us go to Maine (pt. 4)

Third POV

Mike woke up to see all of the boys still sleeping. After a while of laying there he decided to get up. He stood up and walked down the stairs. He saw El at the kitchen counter. He walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her shoulders and kissed her forehead.

"Hey beautiful" He said as she looked up and smiled at him.

"Hi Mikey." She said kissing his cheek.

"Why are you up so early?" He asked as he sat next to her as she shrugged.

"I don't know. I just woke up, why are you up so early?"

"Same reason. Do you want me to see if they have any eggos?" He asked as she straightened up and smiled.

"Yes please." She said as he smiled and walked over to the freezer. He dug through the freezer until he found a box.

"Score" He said as he yelled up the box and El smiled. He popped the waffles in the toaster and they waited in a comfortable silence for the waffles to be done. A loud ding came from the toaster a few minutes later. Mike grabbed a plate and the syrup. He took the waffles out of the toaster and put it on the plate. He covered it with syrup and handed to El.

"Thank you" She said sweetly as he kissed the top of her head.

"Of course love." Mike said as he put away the syrup. They both ate their breakfast and people slowly trickled in. By the time they had both finished their breakfast everyone was downstairs.

"Hey Rich, what are we doing today?" Max asked him as he shrugged.

"How would i know?"

"Because you talk to your friends more than we do."

"That makes sense but i have no idea, we're probably just going to the park." Richie said as everyone nodded. They all sat around Ben's house for a bit before deciding to get ready to go to the park. Ben has already made plans for them to meet the losers there.

After they had all gotten dressed and ready they met downstairs.

"Ready?" Ben asked as everyone nodded.

"Ok, it's just a few blocks away so we can walk."  Ben said and everyone nodded and they all headed outside. The first couple minutes into the walk was partly silence until Dustin spoke up.

"Guys, I just had a thought." Dustin said

"What is your thought?" Lucas asked.

"So what if water is drugs and drugs is water. So we are actually high all the time and then when we take drugs that is how we're supposed to act." Dustin said as everyone looked at him with weird looks on their faces.

"What the hell dude" Mike said.

"What?! It's possible"

"I mean I guess..." Max said as they all laughed and kept walking. (A/N: this is actually a conversation me and my friend had one time... that was an interesting day man)

A few minutes later they arrived at the park to see all the losers sprawled out all over the grass. Stan looks over at the group and rolls his eyes.

"Took you long enough." Stan says standing up as El looked over at Max and they both giggled.

"What's so funny?" Mike whispered in her ear.

"Nothing" El says laughing as she walks over to Max. Mike is left with a confused look on his face as he looks over to Lucas who just shrugs. The rest of the party and Ben walk over to the losers. They all plop down on the grass next to them.
