"Sammy!" Sam ran into the room, noticing that Candice wasn't anywhere to be seen. We both rushed over to Baby, and started driving around town, calling out her name. As I was driving, Sam saw a figure in an alleyway on the ground. "Dean, drive over there." I did as Sammy said and stopped the car, while we both rushed out to find Candice. She was on the ground, beaten and bloody. I picked her up and brought her to the car, and laid her down in the back seat. Sam loaded up in the back and I quickly drove to the hospital while he checked her pulse. "She's breathing at least. That's a good sign." I hear Sam say and bang my hand on the steering wheel as I curse aloud, "Dammit!" Sam looks at me, clearly alarmed. I don't have time to explain as I park and hastily pick up my girlfriend from the back seat. She's limp in my arms, and I'm preparing for the worst.
When we walk in, Sam acquires a wheelchair and I carefully place her in it. The receptionist wastes no time and calls on the intercom a code red. I know that's not good, but I've gotta keep it together, for Sammy. Candy is stripped away from me and taken back to a room by three lab coat wearing doctors. Sam puts his arms around me, and gently guides me to a chair. When we sit, I am barely holding it together as the seconds turn into minutes and the minutes turn into hours. I can hold back my fear no longer, I sigh and say, "This is my fault." Sam puts his hand on my leg and says, "No, that's not true. Dean, how could you say that?" I look dead in his eyes, "Sammy, we had a fight. I went to the bar and Candice ran out the door crying." Sam takes in this new information and asks me genuinely, "What happened?" I put my head in my hands and ruffle my hair, trying my damndest not to break in front of my brother. "I don't know, she doesn't like my drinking. She wants me...to quit." Sam scoffs at that, "Dean, you're my brother. I love you how you are, and if she can't see that, then" "Then what?" Sam realizes that he's put his foot in his mouth, although I really can't be mad at him for sticking up for me. "I'm sorry, Dean. I know you love her, and she'll be okay." I contort my expression slightly, tears rolling down my face, "You don't know that, Sammy." Sam sighs and we wait a long time. I shoot up straight as an arrow as the doctor comes up towards us. "She's...she's gone. I'm sorry." I cry into Sam and we both thank the doctor for his help. Sam drives me back to the Bunker.
