"Sam!" I yell, eyes full of tears as I walk closely with the gurney carrying my boyfriend. I look to my left and Dean is staring down at Sam, while periodically looking up where he was walking. The last thing he wants to do is screw up and wind up like Sam. I stare at Dean, pleasing him silently to forgive me. As the doctors take Sam away, we are both instructed to go sit down in the waiting room. Dean shakes his head defiantly, "I'm his brother! I'm immediate family!" The doctor shakes his head and points to the right, "He has to go to the OR. You both need to go." We both walk off, Deans anxiety getting worse the more he argues. I gently guide him to the chairs and we sit down. Dean puts his head in his hands and I can see his body shake. I try to find the words to tell him Sam will be okay, but I can't. Instead, I get close to him and whisper "I'm sorry" while bending down to hug him. He looks up at me, his hazel eyes filled to the brim with tears, "What?" I start to cry myself, seeing dean like this hurts. "It's my fault...it's my...fault. Sam's...oh God! What...have I...done?" Dean searches my face and takes my hand, "You know this isn't your fault, right?" I crumble to the floor, "How can it not be? I'm the reason he's...gonna"- "Don't you say it!" Dean cuts in, not ready to hear what I was about to say. I sit with my legs up to my chest, and sob. Dean gets on the floor with me and wipes my face, "This ain't your fault!" I nod, "It is!" Dean shakes his head, "This isn't! If anything, it's mine. I should've kept a closer watch on him."
I look up at the door to the operating room, where I can barely see Sam being worked on. "It's not yours, Dean. I should've kept a better watch on him myself." Dean shakes his head, and sighs, "This isn't anyone's fault but that damn angel! Fucking Zachariah...if Cas was here..." Deans voice trailed off as Cas popped up right in front of us. "Sam is in there. It doesn't look good. He's lost a lot of blood. That angel blade went deep in his bicep." Dean cried, "Can you heal him?" Cas nodded, "I believe so" and poofed away. He popped into where Sam was and touched the wound, which healed instantly under the angels healing touch. Sam's eyes opened, and he whispered, "Cas?" Castiel smiled and nodded. Sam started struggling to breathe and the doctors upped his oxygen. A few minutes later he was okay. Sam stayed at the hospital overnight on a heart monitor and three IVs. Dean and I stayed by his side the whole time.
