"Father, you're back!" Screamed the little girl with delight. "Ai we've been over this, I'm not your real father." Zero chuckled as he scooped the toddler into his arms. "I know! My "real" father is in the ice!" She said as she played with his silver hair. "Ai loves Zero!" She said with a smile. "Aido! Do you love Yori?!" Asked Ai as her cheeks flushed pink. "W-what a question to be asked by such a little girl!" Screamed Aido as he blushed. He took a second to regain his composure, only to see Ai and Zero waiting eagerly for his answer.
"Well... yes." He said as he smiled. "At first, I just thought she was a nuisance." He mused as he remembered the times she would come to his office while he was working on a cure for Kaname.
"Excuse me." Came a soft voice from behind him. He turned to see a rather frail looking girl, with short, sandy blonde hair. "What is it?" He mumbled. "I was just wondering if you could use any help?" Asked the girl quietly. "What could a human possibly do to help??" He spouted angrily. "You're right... I'm sorry for intruding." She said as she took her leave. Sayori Wakaba..... Since when was she cute?!
She continued to visit and would help organize his workspace, to which he was grateful. It came to a point where he was almost lonely without her presence. "I'll put these back for you." Said Sayori as she smiled and picked a stack of books from his desk. "T-thank you..." He said as he felt his face get hot. "Ahhh!" Sayori yelled as he foot slipped off of the ladder. There was a crash. "You could've seriously hurt yourself!" Screamed Aido as he looked into Sayori's eyes. He had caught and was now holding her.
"T-thank you, Hanabusa." She said as she blushed. She suddenly winced in pain and noticed her knee was scraped and bleeding. "Humans are so fragile, please be more careful." Said Aido as he licked up her blood. This caused her face to become flushed. "S-sorry!" Said Aido as he put her down. "It's okay!" I'll see you tomorrow!" She said as she took her leave for the day.
Why the hell did I do that?! She's a human, but her blood has a taste rival to that of a Pureblood!
Hanabusa thought as he blushed at his actions. They continued to work together for many months. One night was particularly beautiful. "Hanabusa come look! The sky is filled with stars!" She said as she beckoned him to her. Aido went to her side and gazed up at the sky, a nd then back at Sayori. He blushed, noting in his mind how the sky could never rival her beauty, causing him to blush. Sayori put her hand to her mouth. "You can kiss me if you want." She whispered as she blushed.
They shared a kiss under a starlit sky. From that day on, Aido realize he loved Sayori. He wanted to spend forever with her. They went for a walk in town to escape the demands of finding a cure and took time to enjoy each other. Aido realized as he held her hand in his that he didn't want to ever let go. "Sayori... I need to ask you something.." said Aido as he stopped. "You can ask me anything!" Said Yori as she smiled. "Sayori Wakaba, I never want this beautiful time we spend together to end, so I was wondering, if you would marry me?" Said Aido as he got to one knee.
"Oh Aido, yes I'll marry you!" She Screamed as tears started to well in her eyes. They embraced under the beautiful night sky and they began a new path to the future, together.
"And that's how I came to love Sayori." Said Aido as he finished his story. "Wooooow!" Said Ai with a big smile. "I want to find someone to love Ai that way!" She said as she blushed. Zero chuckled as he patted her head. "You definitely will." He told her as he smiled.
