~ Nine ~

RAYLAS P.O.V

I'm in to much shock, that face, the mask. All the memories come flooding back to me, its Blacze. He's come to finally kill off my family line. I take a few steps into the water, preparing myself for an attack. I knew he would come looking for me one day, that day took years, but some how, he has located me.

"Exventress, I'm hear for you." His voice croaks, it's so rough and so deep. More memories begin pouring back through my mind...

FLASHBACK

"Catch me father." I yelled back at him, his smile grew. He caught me in his arms and I let out a excited shriek. He gently put me back on the ground.

"Please father again, again!" I pleaded.

"Now Rayla, I told you only one last time."

"Oh, yeah." I put my head down to make him feel bad, and then father would throw me again! No response... oh well. I just gave up. I heard mother come though the cave.

"Mother your back, how was the sky world?" I was never sure of its real name, I'd never left the cave. Mother sometimes was aloud to go up, with permission from the elders, to hunt for food or look for any dangers.

"It was wonderful, I have no idea why the elders keep us down here." She looked worried, but I didn't want to bother her. But its almost as if, no impossible! It was almost like I could read her thoughts. She had seen something on her sky world journey, a dangerous creature, she was scared.

"Mother, did the creature worry you, do you stress about it attacking us?"

"Oh Rayla dear, what are you going on about, what creature?" I knew she was lying.

"Your lying mother! Ask her if she is lying father?"

"Nyx, did you see something?" He began to grow worried as well. I could hear his thoughts too.

"I... yes. I saw this creature, he was dressed in a large black cloak, a deer shaped mask and purple and black smoke poured from his cloak." Mother looked down at me, she took off her navy robe and handed it to me. It was engraved with gold rope all around, and it was so soft.

"I want you to have this." She smiled down at me, then turned to father.

"Shiro, we need to talk." They walked off, into their private sleep area. I went over to the pillows and sat down with my stuffed bear. He was brown and grotty, but I used ink to put blue markings on his eye, just like mine.

I heard Rayvens drape swing away from her sleep area.

"Rayven, mother went to the sky world, and brought back some food, called salmon." She looked at me as if I was dumb.

"Well," she said, sitting herself next to me with her bear, "this is Ray. Ray is fifteen like me, has orange markings and likes to eat up little girls called Rayla!" She shouted the last part, and began to tickle me all over. My laughter filled the room, making Rayven laugh just as hard. The laughter soon died down, as dirt fell from the cave ceiling. Mother and father rushed out to see what the pound noise was about. The elders, the other two families came out to see what had happed too.

"What going on out hear girls. Rayven! You should know better than to make so much noise." She looked upset, poor Rayven, she didn't do anything wrong. The cave ceiling began to crumble once again, so know the elders knew it want her. There are two elders, the leader and the co leader. Our leader was Eyven, a beautiful angel with flowing blonde hair and large white wings. Ghix was her co leader, she had a short pixie cut with her light grey hair, and large white wings like Eyvens.
