Everyone was acting strangely.
Vio was moping over Shadow Link more than usual, Green seemed less...Green, and something seemed to be really bothering Red.
Also, our father was okay with letting us go revive the dead child who sent him to the Dark World, but Vio said that we had "just finally broken our father, way to go, you guys," in a voice that was more monotone than usual.
I leaned towards Red, who probably knew what was bothering them, I felt like it was his duty to know, I guess. "What's wrong with everyone?"
He frowned. "I don't know what's wrong with Green, he's acting weird, isn't he? Maybe Charles died."
Vio looked over at Red. Charles was a cactus that sat on a table, because despite his name, Green didn't have a green thumb, and it was the only plant that Green could forget about for weeks and not worry about. But, of course, Charles died two weeks ago.
"Green, are you still upset about Charles' death?"
"Wait, when did Charles die?" he asked.
"Two weeks ago," I said at the same time Vio said, "no, he's still alive," and shot me a glare.
"How'd he die?"
"You accidentally stabbed him when you were helping Red with dinner," I reminded him.
Green shook his head. "Last time I ever butter bread."
Red sighed. "If this keeps up, I'm just going to have to make it by myself."
I made a note to myself to help him with dinner eventually since we couldn't let Green in the kitchen, and Vio was too clumsy.
Speaking of clumsy, Vio tripped over a crack in the earth and then pretended it didn't happen, despite the fact he had scraped his knee really obviously and muttered several swears as he got up.
"Vio, you're limping," Red pointed out.
"Goddesses, you're so clumsy, bookworm."
"Could be worse," Green pointed out. "You could pick fights and then get extremely injured by said fights."
"What?"
Vio sighed, probably regretting multiple life choices that lead him to this moment.
That, however, did not stop me from fighting Green.
