The moment I saw Shadow Link I knew I was in a dream Red and Vio had been.

I also noticed that next to Shadow Link was a little girl who stared at me with wide eyes.

"Sh--" He shushed me before I could finish the thought and the girl next to him clung to his hand. I heard voices nearby.

"I definitely heard them," said a female voice.

"That little bastard." I heard a man sigh. "They won't get far, and I'm pretty sure the one with purple hair is unarmed. I'm going to look over there, holler if you find them."

I saw Shadow Link stiffen. The woman started moving, you could hear twigs snap beneath her feet and leaves crunch.

The two were crouched behind a tree. The woman's back was to them, to me too.

They silently moved over to where I was.

"Who are they?" I whispered almost silently.

"Bad people," was all he said.

The girl quivered next to Shadow Link. "Who's he?"

"A really good guy, he helped save Hyrule," Shadow Link said to her. "He won't hurt you."

She cocked her head at me. "He looks kind of like that Vio guy you were flirting with."

"Yeah, he does."

I noticed the girl had barbed wire over her side, blood was everywhere. She was also really small and looked absolutely terrified.

"Why are you hiding from them? What do you know?"

Shadow  Link frowned. "Not much...but they hurt both me and Aki." He gestured to the little girl. "Aki got hurt a lot more, I think because she's more vulnerable."

The woman's head turned and looked over in our direction, but she didn't walk over, thank the goddesses. I turned to Shadow Link. "Why am I here, I haven't had this dream before."

"Dunno. Red came here, Vio came here, it's mostly been Vio, really. I think it's because there's something Vio's after, which is reaching me. I don't know about Red."

"...Vio and Blue found one of your spare hats. That belonged to you, right?"

"Yeah, that's a good find,"  he said. "I was worried you wouldn't find anything."

"...Vio keeps sniffing it when he thinks no one's looking. It's really weird."

Shadow Link smiled. "Tell him he's adorable for me."

"I think that will creep him out, but okay."

All of a sudden, the woman stooped down. "I found blood, it's fresh, somebody's definitely been here recently!"

"We might be able to still catch them!"

"Oh no," Shadow Link breathed.

"Wherever you are, you better not let me find you!" the woman shouted. "Where are you, Akina?" I realized I was going to wake up soon.

Her back was to us again. "We need to move again," he said. "Come on, Aki." He didn't comment on how the people seemed to be looking for her specifically.

"I think I found someone!"

Shadow Link mouthed a swear word and looked at me, whispering really quietly. "Wake up, or they're going to find you too, Green. They have something against the living."

"More blood..." The man.

"It's them, I hear whispering."

"What about you guys?"

"Green, you can't really help us." I noticed that I didn't have my sword on me or even my shield. "You need to go."

"Akina!"

"Now, Green!"

My eyes opened and I saw that I was no longer in the forest and had no way of knowing if they were alright.

Also, Vio was sniffing Shadow Link's hat again.

"Vio?"

He dropped it and it fell into his lap. "What?"

"You were smelling his hat again."

He flushed. "I wasn't."

I decided to not insist he was. "Why aren't you asleep?"

"...I'll see him again. I know I will. I need a bit."

"...It's because of the fire temple, isn't it?"

"Whoa, nothing gets past you, Green."

"I saw him...when I went to sleep."

"You did?" He looked at me hopefully.

"He said you were adorable."

I wonder if when Vio see's him, he's gonna be alive? ...Wait, he's already dead. Can you die if you're already dead?
