Eight days have past since we've been here and it's amazing. Except for the times Ace calls for no apparent reason, it's amazing. Few more days until we head back for new years with mom. I can't say dad I'd just be day dreaming.
Lately I've not been feeling well, puking in the morning and cramps in my lower back, but I haven't told anyone. It's probably just a stomach flu.
Today's Christmas Eve and everyone's gathered in the living room exchanging gifts. I was sitting on Blazes lap while Tyreek was videoing us opening our gifts. So far I've gotten a bracelet from Madi, a novel from Chad, etc...
"Come on, the last gift is for Bliss" Chad said, handing her the box.
"It's from me" Sia smiles, Bliss smiles, opening the box.
"A spa coupon" Bliss chuckles holding up the coupons. The guys laugh.
"You need it, I mean you have to look your best for Tyreek" Sia smile, pointing at Tyreek who was at a lost for words. We laugh.
"Whatever" Bliss flush.
"I guess that's it" Chad claps his hand, standing from his chair.
"No wait" everyone pause "Blaze you haven't given anything to your cupcake" Madi said, looking over at Blaze who was lost elsewhere.
"Blaze" everyone calls pulling him from his thoughts.
"What" he ask, looking up at everyone.
"Where's Val's gift" Tad ask, Blaze shrugs, lifting me off his lap and told us to give him a minute. We stood there dumbfounded waiting for him as he went up stairs.
"What do you think he got you" Sia ask plopping down on the couch beside me.
"I don't know" I shrug, Blaze soon enters the living room empty handed.
"Come with me" he smile, holding out his hand for me to take. I smile, placing my hand in his. He blind folded me and carried me bridal style. Once he placed me down, I kinda panicked. Hearing everyone murmuring to themselves, the feel of the cool breeze made me shiver.
"Okay, take it off" Blaze whispered in my life ears. I obliged. I gasp, my eyes water at the sight before me.
The yard was dimly lite, red flower petal littering the marble floor, an orchard of flowers on the wall spelled ' I love you '. The night sky glowing, adding to the simple beauty of the decoration.
Turning back to Blaze, I gasp, my hands covering my mouth, my tears finally escaping. He was kneeing before me with a small velvet box in his hand.
"Merry Christmas cupcake. I can't think of anyone else to be here with, your my everything Val. When I left, I couldn't think of anything but being by your side again, having you in my arms. I've done shit in my past and you still accept me. I don't deserve you, but I'll never let you go. I want you, all of you. I want you to be the one I spend the rest of my life with" he says opening the box, revealing a four carrot diamond ring.
"Valeria Julianna Maria Lockhart, I love you with all my heart and more, will you do me the honors of making me the happiest man alive. Will you marry me"
I sob, sniffing. Nodding my head repeatedly like an idiot. "Yes, yes, yes" I exclaim, lunging at him. Everyone cheered.
I laid on top of him kissing him passionately. His hands firm around my waist.
"I want to take you-" he said but got interrupted.
"Dude, you can't have sex while we're here" Chad points out, what's wrong with him. My cheeks heat up.
"That's not what I was going to say" he rolls his eyes.
"Oh, but whatever it is, keep it PG thirteen, I'm still innocent" Tad smirks, lounging back on the patio chair. He's such a fucking liar.
"I was going to ask Val to send the night with me on my yacht tonight" he said setting me to sit on his lap and sat up.
"I'd love too" I smile, holding my hand out, he slide the ring on my finger and kiss the corner of my mouth.
"O. M. G" the girls exclaim in unison, except Double A who was already by my side hugging me.
"I'm so happy for you baby girl" Madi squeal, clapping her hands and jumping like a kid in a candy store.
"They grow up so fast" Sia sniff, wiping away her tears. "Look at me I'm a hot mess" she chuckle/sniff, fanning her face.
"Congrats hun" Mandy smile, pulling me into a side hug.
"Group hug" Angel call, they all awe, gathering for the group hug.
"Hell no don't squish me" Blaze yelp, wrapping his arms around me tightly like a toddler looking for protection.
After getting squished, I got packed and brought my duffle bag downstairs. I made my way to the kitchen, pulling a bottle of cran water from the fridge.
"It's finally happening" I looked over my shoulder and saw Chad walking into the room. "My baby sister is engaged and happy"
"Thank you Chad, for everything, for being the best big brother" I smile, throwing the empty cran bottle in the trash.
"I love you baby girl, I'd do anything to protect you, that's why I joined the gang, to protect both my baby girls" he smile, sitting around the island. Walking around to him, I pulled him into a tight embrace.
"Thank you, you both have been so good to me" I said, pulling away from the hug.
"One, why are you thanking me your just going on a yacht you'll be back and two we'll always protect you guys that's our job" he smiles, protecting me might have been their thing, but now protecting them is my thing.
I was going to protest but was interrupted by my phone. Pulling it from my back pocket, I sighed, seeing that it was KB.
"Hey, what's up" I answered, but my smile fell on hearing the sirens and screaming in the background.
"Val, it's not good" he panted. What he said next made me break inside, my grip on my phone loosen causing it the fall to the ground. I stood there frozen, my body tense, tears burning my eyes. My hands falling to my side, my body becoming limp, my surroundings turning blurring as the tears build up.
Seeing Chad's mouthing moving, but nothing coming out. Blaze and the others ran in not long after, a fate sound of my name being called. My body stood there frozen in place as they shook me, calling my name.
