Lionstar padded up to the highrock. "I have counted up the votes. Our deputy, Foxpelt, is innocent by majority."
Both cheers and growls are heard from the crowd. "Woo!" Whitepelt mewed, giving Foxpelt an affectionate smile. Foxpelt smiled back. He bobbed his head, as if dancing to celebrate his victory. It was only for a second though, because soon his body became still, only ruffled by Whitepelt nuzzling him and Angeltail licking him.
"Thank you, all of you, for letting me stay." Foxpelt mewed kindly. "I am glad I have your respect, because from the bottom of my heart, I truly respected Mistfur and am sad she has been killed."
Angeltail licked him fiercely, while Whitekit jumped all over him. Brownnose gave a tiny nod of respect.
Lionheart heard Leopardpaw mutter to Cloudbelly "Yeah. Like I believe that." What was this little apprentice thinking?
Foxpelt is safe. For now.
