Quickly and quietly, the murderer slipped out of their den. They heard mewing coming from the medicine cat den. Of course. I can get rid of the loudmouth once and for all. They thought.
"Oh, hi!" Whitepelt mewed kindly. "What do you need?" Hissing, the killer spat "What I need is some peace and quiet!" And they leaped at her.
A new cat bolted into the den, trying to get at the killer, but was only shaken off. "I was secretly training to be a medicine cat for this!" But the killer didn't hear, and blocked the said medicine cat apprentice from Whitepelt.
"Wha-" Whitepelt was confused, and as the killer slit her throat, an eternal look of confusion came upon her face. "There. Peace and quiet." The murderer chuckled. Letting the other cat come and mourn, they left the scene.

Lionstar was awoken by a shrill screech. Angeltail! Please, StarClan, let my mate be okay. Padding out of his den, he bolted over. Almost every cat was surrounding Whitepelt's dead body.
"You were my best friend..." Angeltail mewed, and Foxpelt and Lionstar pressed against her. Whitekit was being hidden from the scene by her mother, but the little thing wasn't struggling, as if she already knew what was there.
Brownnose and Cloudbelly looked sad, but weren't saying a word, so it was hard to tell. Lionstar padded up on top of the highrock.
"Cats of BrightClan," he yowled, sadness in his voice, "Our beloved medicine cat, Whitepelt has been killed. We will mourn her greatly, while another cat will have to take her duties for now. Leopardpaw or Whitekit? He pondered. Maybe Goldenstorm or Angeltail as well...
Leopardpaw wailed "I knew we should have done something sooner!" She glared at Foxpelt. Whitekit, however, was looking at Brownnose. Both shrugged. Who would kill our medicine cat?
