LILITH'S POV

"You knew this was coming?" Lilith gasped.

Lizzie nodded.

"And you didn't tell us?" Lilith checked.

"Nope."

"Well, good to see you're looking out for us." Lilith said sarcastically.

"Knowledge can be damaging. I know that better than most."

"What is this 'war'?" Zane asked.

"I need to explain many things to you. Information that may be damaging."

"Good luck with that." Alina giggled.

"Just for that, you can be the one to explain it to Katelyn."

"What." Alina froze.

"Why do I have to have explained to me differently?" Katelyn protested.

"Multiple reasons. First off, there are things that are unique to your story, compared to these guys. Secondly, I am honestly concerned for your current mental state."

"Exactly," Alina pointed out, "Why am I the one to be thrown under the bus? I don't mean to be rude, but mentally unstable Katelyn sounds scary."

"Tough luck."

Alina's shoulders slumped.

"Can Lilith..?" She began.

"No. Lilith is helping me."

"Bad luck little sis." Lilith smiled.

ALINA'S POV

Great. She was stuck babysitting a clearly distressed Katelyn. She led Katelyn into a little nook further down the cave. She remembered coming here as a child. Her and Lilith loved playing hide and seek in these ruins. But those memories belonged to simpler times.

"So what do I need to know?" Katelyn sat down on a big rock.

"Many things. I don't know exactly where to start."

"How about that chant you were saying when I came out of that trance? What was that trance?"

"As far as I can tell, the trance was induced by some sort of everlasting potion placed on you as a child, giving you superhuman strength. Michael- or whoever that was- was able to use it to control. My mother and I would be the only ones able to break you out of that. It drains a lot of energy though."

"Is that why you didn't save Garroth?"

"Yeah. Theoretically my mother could, but currently she is in no position to do so. I just hope that I can sustain enough power to free him the next time we run into them."

"Who are you?"

Alina smiled sadly.

"In time, you may remember on your own. Until that point, my name is Alina. My mother is an angel, of sorts. She is also a divine warrior. The moment I was born I absorbed a relic, giving me extraordinary power. I still retain some of that power now, even though I lost my relic when I died."

"Hold on. Relics? And you're dead?"

"I lived over three thousand years ago. Yes, I'm dead. My mother summoned me and my sister back to this world to help with this threat."

"What are Relics?"

"That is getting onto the bigger story."

"I suppose I have time."

"This is four or five thousand years of history, so don't get bored."

"I'll try to stay awake."

Alina remembered what she admired about Katelyn all the times she had looked after them. Her wit and strength, and her ability to ignore the rough things and get on with the point. It seemed like some of that carried on into this life.

"A very long time ago- I'm not going to say exactly how long because Lizzie would probably be insulted- someone named Irene lived."

"You mean Lady Irene?"

"You do catch on fast, don't you?" Alina smiled, "Yes, I do. Irene possessed great power, even without her relic. She had a little sister, who's name I'm not going to mention yet. Her sister's power, along with that of a set of twins in their village, surpassed even Irene's at the height of her power, simply because they weren't bound by the same rules. Irene's sister traveled around, while her sister stayed closer to home. Eventually Irene met Shad, another person who possessed great power. They met the other divine warriors, and became close friends. When they formed the divine warriors, and Irene gave them their relics she begged her sister to join, but she refused, instead promising to always be there if she needed help."

"I never knew that about Irene." Katelyn blinked slowly.

"This barely covers a thousand years, so get comfy. Anyway, Irene, unlike her fellow divine warriors didn't go through reincarnation and rebirth, and lived forever. What happens when you live for a very long time, is you loose all emotion. Thought Irene still helped people, she could no longer sympathise with their plight. Esmund, one of the other divine saw this, and came up with a plan. He thought that, if he got rid of the only person Irene had ever cared for as more than a friend- Shad- that she could learn to love again."

"That's a twisted reason to betray a friend."

"I know. Shad at that point wasn't the best person, but nothing to warrant a betrayal like that. Unfortunately, Esmund managed to persuade all the other divine warriors. When Shad found out about this, he was inconsolable. He turned into a heartless monster, metaphorically and literally. Irene was forced to act. Her and the other divine defeated Shad and locked him away in the Nether. That's commonly known history, however the part lost to history was the fact that Shad most mostly defeated due to the help of Irene's little sister and her friends. The three small figures you saw at the top of the tapestry."

"But didn't Lizzie say that... wait. Is Lizzie Lady Irene's little sister?"

"Yes."

"This.. that's.. I can't even."

"We aren't even anywhere near the time of my birth yet."

"Oh wow."

"After the battle, Irene still couldn't feel anything, and in fact it hurt her more. As her friends died and didn't come back, Irene decided she needed to leave, and learn to feel again. So she sealed her sister and the twins away, so that if Shad ever came back, they were there to help. She then locked away her memories, gave up her relic and sealed herself away in her own dimension, the Irene Dimension. She stayed there for hundreds of years, until the staff she had given her old friend, one that could wake her in a time of need, was used."

"A staff? Doesn't that mean we could use it? If you know all this, surely you know where it is. Lady Irene could help us!"

Alina smiled.

"Lady Irene, is already here."

A/N-Thanks for reading :)
I really should be doing homework right now, but this is far more enjoyable than homework. So, how many of you have seen Episode 9? To sum it up, Aaron threw a temper tantrum and murdered all the bad guys, went full wolf and then got knocked out.
