ALINA'S POV

Alina's spirits rose as soon as she saw the person standing behind Aphmau.

"Lilith!" She cried, rushing towards her sister.

"Lina!" Lilith exclaimed just as joyfully.

The two embraced, tears of happiness leaking from Alina's eyes.

"I didn't know you were here too."

"Too?" Alina asked.

"Raven told me he sensed mum and Lizzie here, but he didn't mention you."

"I guess as a dead person, I don't emit much of an aura." Alina giggled.

"I'm glad to see that at least two people are enjoying this situation." Lizzie said.

"Hi Aunty Lizzie." Lilith smiled.

"As nice as it is to see you Lilith, I think your friend is severely freaking out our company." Lizzie nodded at the scared faces of the mortals.

"Oh, Raven. Right."

"Raven?" Alina had been so overjoyed at seeing her sister, she had missed the giant golden wyvern stood behind her.

"Good to see you again little human." Raven bowed his head to her.

"Good to see you too Raven."

"Why is it talking?" Aphmau sqeauked.

"You can understand it?" Katelyn asked, shooting her a confused glance.

Lilith looked around the room, her gaze flitting over the familiar faces. Her eyes lingered longer on Aphmau and Aaron, before coming to a stop on Zane. Her eyes narrowed.

Probably sensing the tension flowing of Lilith in waves, Raven seemed to decide it was time to leave.

"I hope to see you again, little humans." He said, stretching out his wings and soaring up through the roof like it didn't exist.

Lilith didn't answer, but kept her eyes trained on Zane. He had a lot to answer for, especially for the death of their father. Alina hadn't known her dad while he had been alive, and only met him during the whole Shad.. fiasco. Lilith on the other hand did remember him, and despised Zane.

"Lilith, remember this is a different life. He's changed." Alina whispered to her sister.

"Why?" She muttered, "Why did he of all people deserve a second chance?"

"I don't know, but there has to be a reason for it. Remember that."

"He has so much to answer for. He escaped punishment for his crimes all those years ago."

"I know Lilith, believe me. But we can't take it out on him now, for something he doesn't even remember."

"'Something?' Alina you know better than anyone that it was more than just one thing, or even two. How can you forgive him for everything he did?"

"Everything who did?" Aaron asked.

"'The High Priest of O'khasis'." Lilith said mockingly, "The very person in charge of Lady Irene's temples, and ended up destroying her life."

"Mum had temples?" Alina asked incredulously.

"How did you not know that?"

"Wait a minute," Aaron held up his hand, "Did you just say 'Lady Irene's temples', and then refer to her as your mother?"

"Yes. I mean, she had another name she went by, but given the present company it probably isn't the right time to use it." Alina glanced at Aphmau, who still looked mildly dazed from her vision.

"So you guys are Lady Irene's daughters?" Aaron frowned.

Lilith and Alina nodded.

"I mean, technically I'm her adopted daughter. Alina is her only blood child."

"That's impossible. You guys are crazy." Katelyn stammered.

"Given what you've been through, I woudn't go saying that we were crazy." Lizzie replied, perched atop a marble coffin.

"Lizzie!" Alina scolded her.

"What? There's nothing in here now."

"It's still considered disrespectful."

"Would sitting on my grave be considered disrespectful?" Lizzie retorted.

"Generally people don't sit on their own graves." Alina remarked.

"You have a grave?" Aphmau shot a concerned look at Lizzie.

"Well, a coffin I was stuck in for about 1000 years, but I'm not sure if that counts as a grave." Lizzie said, as if it was a common situation.

"That's.. odd." Katelyn stuttered, "I still want to know what is going on? The last thing I remember was Travis collapsing. If there's someone after us, why isn't he here? And Garroth? And by the way, since when was Garroth a werewolf!"

"Listen, I don't know why the kid's a werewolf, "Lizzie began, "But as for Travis- he is now our enemy."

"Travis? Our Travis?" Katelyn laughed, "He may be annoying but he isn't a bad guy."

"It isn't Travis directly. An evil spirit that goes by the name of Michael inhabited Travis' father until last night, when your witch friend forced him out. The spirit then went to Travis, where another part of its soul was stored meaning that it is now full, and even more dangerous than before."

"Surprisingly, that kinda makes sense." Aaron said slowly.

"What 'evil spirit' is this?" Zane asked.

"An old enemy. I watched his physical embodiment and his soul die so many times, but he never seems to stay gone."

"The bad ones never stay dead." Lilith muttered, shooting a glare at Zane.

Alina resisted the urge to stomp on her sister's foot.

"Lilith, when you're finished shooting shade at Zane, will you kindly tell me everything your little wyvern friend told you." Lizzie gave her that 'stern aunt' look.

"Fine." Lilith stared at the ground.

"Willow, Jasper, can you do some reconnaissance around the island. Stay out of sight, but look for any sign of Lucinda and Kim."

They nodded, grasped hands and disappeared with a flash of light.

"You know Lucinda-Chan's name?" Kawaii-Chan spoke at last.

"I know everyone's name. I would have to of been slacking not to."

"That isn't mildly creepy at all." Katelyn seemed to be getting hysterical.

"Alina, would you mind babysitting your babysitter?"

"What!"

"She's not that scary Lina. At least she isn't armed. And by the way," Lizzie turned to Aphmau and Aaron, "You guys are going to have to full Katelyn in on everything."

"Why exactly, do we have to do that?" Zane rebuked.

"Because," Lizzie turned back to tapestry, "War is coming. A centuries old war I thought we had avoided. And it's coming into play sooner than I thought."
