APHMAU'S POV
It was so tedious waiting for Willow, Alina and Lilith to come back. Since Lizzie had explained to her the whole 'they are actually your kids from another life' thing a few hours ago, she felt a need to protect them from harm. Which was weird, because they were probably more capable of taking care of themselves than she would be. In fact, they were definitely more capable than she was. She still didn't know the whole story though, and she felt like she was missing something major. It wasn't that Lizzie and Lilith had gotten interrupted, it felt more like they were leaving several things out on purpose.
"Aph." Aaron murmured.
"Yeah?"
"Are you okay? You seem distant."
"Who could be okay in all this?" She gesture helplessly at her surroundings.
"You get used to it." Lizzie called.
"What?" Aphmau stuttered.
"I have the hearing of a cat, remember that." Lizzie winked at them and turned back to the worn tapestry on the wall.
Her and Jasper had been pouring over it since the three had left. Aphmau didn't see what was so important about it.
"What is with them and that tapestry?" Aaron asked, voicing her thoughts.
"I have no idea."
As she said it, Lizzie traced a small drawing in the top corner, and her mind went fuzzy. Voices she didn't recognise, places she didn't recognise, and situations she didn't recognise flashed through her head. Gasping, she clasped her forehead.
"Aph?" Aaron exclaimed.
"I'm fine," She assured him, "Just a headache."
"Well-"
Whatever Aaron was going to say was cut off by a whooshing sound. Alina, along with Eric and her mother appeared out of thin air.
"Well done Lina." Lizzie smiled.
"Aphmau?" Her mum gasped.
"Hi mum." Aphmau said anxiously.
"Where are we? Who are they? What is going on?"
"Well mum... it's kind of a really long story."
"Then you better start talking. What's going on!"
"Sweet pea!" Eric called out, rushing towards Katelyn and swooping her up into a hug.
"Hi Dad." She grumbled.
"What are you doing here? What's going on?" Eric inquired
"I'd like to know that too." Sylvana said, staring at her daughter.
"This seems like it could end badly." Alina muttered.
"It always tends to." Lizzie replied, obviously amused.
"Who's she?" Sylvana demanded, pointing at Lizzie.
"Okay. That's a start. That's Lizzie. She's..."
"A divine being." Lizzie finished, "And the younger sister of your famed matron."
"Our matron?" Eric asked, confused.
"Irene." Jasper answered.
"You're Lady Irene's younger sister!" Sylvana shrieked, "I thought she was just a story."
"Most do. I could be lying you know. But, of course, your daughter is her host so I can assure it is not."
"Host?"
"Yep. Always has been, always will be. Irene sacrificed the last of her power to bring your daughter back from the dead, and now inhabits her."
"Last of her power? What do you mean?"
"Divine beings don't last forever," Lizzie said sadly, exchanging a glance with Jasper, "But the bad ones tend to last longer."
"Bad ones? You mean the guy who's keeping us here?"
"How on earth did you figure that out?"
"He's obviously got some kind of otherworldly magic," Eric pointed out, "And he's flaunting it."
"Oh dear." Lizzie muttered, "Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear."
"What?" Zane asked, speaking up for the first time in a long while.
"If you were able to figure it out, it won't be long before others arrive at the same conclusion. They can't know divine beings exist, it will throw off the balance of the universe!"
"That sounds very extreme." Kawaii-Chan said nervously.
"If something goes wrong in this world, parallel universes will be thrown off too. That can't happen. It can't."
"Hey Realm Protector." Jasper teased.
"What now Jasper?" Lizzie snapped, biting her lip.
"Is there anything I can do?"
"Find your sister. The longer she's out there the more danger she's in. Lilith too."
"And if they haven't found the Ro'Maeve parents."
"It doesn't matter any more. Get. Them. Back. Here. Now!"
"Yes m'lady." Jason said hurriedly.
He was just about to vanish when another whoosh announced the return of Lilith and Willow, carrying a bleeding Zianna between them.
"What is with you guys and bringing back injured people!" Lizzie exclaimed.
"Zianna!" Sylvana hurried over to her friend.
"Lizzie." Willow said shakily.
"Yeah?"
"We have a situation."
A/N-Thank you guys sooooo much for over 1.1K Views. Never in a million years did I dream of it hitting this milestone. Sorry for the lack of updates, we finished school yesterday, with many tears I might add. With prizegiving, and last minute homework I haven't had spare time. I am also getting a kitten in less than a week, so you may get to enjoy cute kitten photos soon. I am also sorry for the slightly shorter chapter. I am literally writing this at midnight. I really should be asleep.
