LUCINDA'S POV

Lucinda wasn't quite sure how to feel about being bossed around by somebody who looked so much younger than her. I mean, Lizzie, Willow and Jasper were all supposedly thousands of years old. They certainly didn't look it.

"Hey, Lucinda?" Kim asked.

"Hmm? Yeah?"

"How's that spell coming?"

"It's done." She replied, stepping back.

"What do we do now?" Kim wondered, coming to stare at Lucinda's creation.

"We wait." Willow answered, before she had a chance to do so herself.

Lucinda nodded in agreement, not voicing her inner thoughts.

"What do we do while we wait?" She said instead.

"Well," Willow began, glancing at a ghostly figure, "I suppose Emmalyn should probably tell you more about the Celestial Cannon."

The ghost looked up, looking terrified at the mere mention of that name.

"That's right. What is it? I pride myself on knowing a lot, but I've never heard of it."

"Uh, well..." Ghost-Emmalyn stuttered.

"Go on." Kim coaxed her.

"Uh, so the Celestial Cannon is a rather... forgotten part of history. On purpose. It uses cursed souls to create relics of power, some even more powerful than the original six relics."

"The ones that the others have gone to find." Lucinda realised.

"And us." Willow added.

"Yes. It drains hundreds of innocent souls in order to power it. The last time I was there... well. Sh-Shad kidnapped Alina, when she was just a little kid, and her mother was still alive, in an effort to turn her into a powerful relic, made so by Shad's relic already being inside of her. He wanted it back, but he couldn't get it back, so I guess he decided to just resort to Plan B, which would've been even more catastrophic if it had worked. Luckily, Lady Aphmau and I came here and rescued her. I thought we had destroyed the cannon forever. I-I gave my life to do so. Clearly, I was wrong."

"And now this Demon Warlock," Kim began.

"The Demon Warlock." Lucinda corrected.

"Right. He's trying to use it to create a relic for himself, but with what cursed soul?"

Emmalyn drew in an unsteady breath.

"Aaron. I would guess so, at least. The Ultimas, cursed souls, and very powerful ones. My guess is that's why he lured them here of all places, because the cannon was here. Last time it was used, when Shad used it, it took the souls, and by extension the lives of any who were below the cannon, everyone who hadn't already been evacuated from the Phoenix Alliance Island. This time, it will take the souls of everyone still on Starlight to power it."

"That's why they won't let people leave!" Lucinda gasped.

Emmalyn nodded.

"We have to get them off the island." Willow said seriously, a look of worry on her face.
"We do." Lucinda agreed.

"We can't, not yet at least. We have to try this. If we can harness the power of the relics, we could kill him once and for all, and we have to try."

"Speaking of which," Lucinda turned back to her spell, "It's finished. That's where our grave is."

She pointed to a small spot on the map. It looked to be in one of nearby woods.

"And that will be where our relic is." Kim added.

"It's all coming together." Willow murmured, "Finally."
