ALINA'S POV
It was clear that majority of people had no idea what Alina, Lizzie and Jasper were so worked up about, but really it should have been obvious. If these people could figure it out, who couldn't? They couldn't risk revealing their secret to the world, but with Mr. Demon Warlock flaunting his powers, and the fact he would either reveal their secret or force them to reveal it themselves before they defeated him- which she could guarantee they eventually would- would ruin everything. Their whole existence had been kept a secret for thousands of years. She was so worked up about it she was honestly glad when Lilith and Willow dragged who she assumed to be the Ro'Maeve matriarch back to camp bleeding. Lizzie, on the other hand, was not.
"What is with you guys and bringing back injured people!" Lizzie exclaimed.
"Zianna!" Aphmau's mum hurried over to her.
"Lizzie." Willow said shakily.
"Yeah?"
"We have a situation."
Lizzie visibly paled.
"Define 'situation'."
"He has access to the celestial cannon."
Alina's jaw dropped and her eyes widened. There was no way....
Emmalyn, who had been hiding out of sight as not to alarm the newcomers more than need be, spoke up.
"It was destroyed, wasn't it?"
Sylvana and Eric shrieked in surprise, but Zianna was too weak to say a single word.
"We'll explain later." Aphmau assured her mother.
"Willow, take Zianna down the cavern and try to heal her. Anyone who wishes to go with them, speak now or forever hold your peace."
Zane immediately stood up, followed by Kawaii-Chan. Lucinda also joined them, on account of her magic possibly helping heal the Ro'Maeve lady, had Sylvana called her Zianna? Sylvana looked like she wanted to tag along too, but was probably far too curious and intrigued to want to leave.
"Right, now all remaining small children please sit a circle for show and tell, without the show part."
Lizzie and Jasper stood against the tapestry, while everyone else sat. Alina was opposite Lilith, beside Lizzie, and Aphmau. Emmalyn kind of awkwardly drifted behind Kim.
"So, Sylvana and Eric-"
"How do you know our names?" Sylvana interuptted.
"Don't ask questions." Lizzie said lightly, with a tone that said 'Do not interupt me again unless you wish to be skinned alive'.
"So, as you now know, I am divine being by name of Lizzie."
"Lizbeth." Jasper coughed.
Lizzie shot him a glare.
"Do you want to push me?"
"No ma'am."
"Good. I am the youngest sister of Lady Irene, and because of her recent.. actions, it has meant that Japser, Willow and I are the last divine beings left in this universe. Now, question time."
To her surprise, Lilith raised her hand.
"Yes?"
"Why are you treating us like preschoolers?"
"Because," Lizzie said, kneeling in front of her, "That's what you are to 5 thousand year old immortals. Anyone else?"
"Yes." Sylvana began, "Are you one of Irene's 'Divine Warriors' that I've heard about in the stories?"
"The stories are true." Lizzie murmured, "However I was never one. All three of us were offered, but all declined on the basis that more power would make us indecent people."
"How would accepting make you indecent people?" Aphmau asked, clearly confused.
"At our current state, we were powerful enough to rival my sister. More power would unbalance the scale of power to morals."
"Well, if you received the same training, doesn't that make sense?" Katelyn pointed out.
"We weren't trained. This was all natural talent, accept for the addition of a relic in Irene and her warriors' cases. And we were 15."
"Wow. That's young." Aphmau breathed.
"Not back then it wasn't." Alina corrected her, "We had to prepared for anything from the time we were babies."
"Prepared for what? Can't your parents protect you?" Sylvana asked.
And it was that sentence that sent Alina on a downward spiral. Memories of her mother with her and her sister flashed past her eyes, but then came the bad ones. Alina found herself reliving her mother's death all over again.
A/N-So... I didn't get any comments wanting me to tell you more about myself on the last update, but Imma do it anyway because Imma cool kid. Totally not sitting in my room. All Alone. Cheering when my new kittens use the litterbox. My life sucks. But anyways here's all you to know: I'm a Ravenclaw. For most people their hogwarts house basically sums them up. So there you go. Also I competed in FPS Nationals earlier this year and came first in the Junior Division for my chosen activity- I think that's the best word for it. (Edit: It's a discipline. No idea why, but it is.) Thank you guys sooooo much for almost 1.3K reads. It really does mean a lot, even to a cool kid like me. (Jk I am in no way a cool kid, but it does really mean a lot to me.)
P.S I think I'm going to start making the chapters shorter. I also aim for a thousand words, and with all the writing I work on simultaneously that can get a bit daunting. Hope you don't mind too much.
