Chapter 92

This chapter is full of bad jokes and I'm not even sorry.

I walked back into my room just to see Layla on my bed with my phone in her hands. She didn't notice me walking in and just smiled at the device in her hands, giggling quietly.

"Who are you chatting with?"

The girl looked up and immediately laid the phone on the bed.

"I wasn't doing anything bad, I swear."

I laughed and shrugged. "I don't care if you use my phone, I know that you won't do anything that would be bad for me, I trust you. Now tell me with whom you were chatting" I said grinning.

"With Luke." She smiled.

I sat down next to her and took my phone. "He knows it's you?"

"Yep."

"Cool, what were you talking about?" I unlocked the device and saw Luke's contact, he was typing.

"Nothing interesting, we were actually just sending jokes that aren't even funny to each other."

I scrolled through the chat and read the new message.

Why don't they play poker in the jungle?

Luke💚:
Cuz there are too many cheetahs

I handed my phone to Layla laughing, when she read the message she chuckled too. A few seconds later we heard two beeps coming from my phone, signalling us that I got two new texts.

Luke💚:
Why didn't the astronaut come home to his wife?

Luke💚:
He needed his space

Adley:
That's so bad, oh my god

My best friend was looking over my shoulder on the phone and we were both giggling.

"Why do we even laugh about this?" she said between chuckles. I shook my head grinning, "I have no idea.“

Adley:
I got fired from my job at the bank today

Luke💚:
?

Adley:
An old lady came in and asked me to check her balance, so I pushed her over

Luke💚:
Why is this so funny?

Adley:
This is Adley btw, Layla is right next to me

Luke💚:
Hey Adley :-)

Luke💚:
I like to spend every day as if it's my last.

Luke💚:
Staying in bed and calling for a nurse to bring me more pudding.

Adley:
HAHAHA SAME THO

Adley:
I'm thinking about removing my spine

Adley:
I feel like it's only holding me back

Luke💚:
That's not even funny

Adley:
You laughed, didn't you?

Luke💚:
Maybe a little?

Luke💚:
Did you hear about the two thieves who stole a calendar?

Luke💚:
They each got six months

Adley:
I think it gets worse with every joke we tell

Luke💚:
I think you are right

Adley:
Layla and I are still laughing about it tho

Luke💚:
Me too

Adley:
I watched hockey before it was cool

Adley:
They basically went swimming

Luke💚:
I don't know what to say

Adley:
Me neither

Luke💚:
It's hard to teach kleptomaniacs humour

Luke💚:
They take things so literally

Adley:
Okay but that one really was funny😂😂😂

Adley:
What are we doing with our lives?

Luke💚:
I don't even know

Adley:
We are a bit pitiful

Luke💚:
A bit

Luke💚:
But I think it's okay

Adley:
I think you are right

Luke💚:
I have to go, have a nice day

Adley:
You too :3

"I now officially ship you" I stated as I laid my phone back on the bed.

"Already?" she said jokingly and let herself fall down on the mattress. "You are soon to ship people."

I laid down next to her. "You bet I am."

Layla and I were sitting in silence for a few minutes, it was quite comfortable, until she broke it.

"Is Vienna cool?"

"It's not bad."

"Wanna go somewhere?"

"Sure."
