My broken life

Nova's P.O.V

I woke up to a kiss on the forehead. As I sat up I saw my blurry dad carrying something, I rubbed my eyes to see him carrying a suitcase. He turned his head and looked at me and said,"Bye darling I promise I will see you again when I find a place to live."
He walked out the door shut behind him and 10 seconds  later I heard the back door shut.

I ran into the kitchen, to see my mum crying with a bottle of whiskey in her hand .
I walked towards her and grabbed the bottle from her hand,but she held on too tight so I let go.
"MUM!"I screamed,"How could you do this to yourself."
She went through a phase like this when Asher died.
I walked to the cabinet while crying and grabbed every bottle of alcohol and poured them down the sink.
Mum screamed and threw the bottle straight at me.
I screamed in pain as the glass smashed on my arm.
I slid on to the floor.
Anna and Diana ran in, Diana was carrying Lana so as soon as she saw me on the floor she put Lana in the high chair .
Anna came straight to me and looked horrified once she'd seen my arm.
It was covered in blood.
We can't go to the hospital because all the doctors and the staff are human so if they see even one unusual blood cell we could be in trouble even if I don't have my powers I still have different DNA from humans.

"DAD"Anna shouted,"Dad, where's dad."
"He left."I said breathlessly
Dad has the power of healing so every time we got hurt he fixed it.

"I'll try and find a first aid kit!"Anna panicked.

Diana lent down onto Mum's level and stared her in the eyes with the angriest look on her face I've ever seen.
"How dare you hurt Nova"
"I I I'm sorry"
"Whatever happened with dad do not take it out on her!"
Suddenly, she slapped mum around the face.
"Don't you ever fucking hurt her again!!"
Mum held her face and whimpered saying sorry over and over again.
At this point I was covered in blood.
All I could hear was Lana crying.
I whispered to myself it's ok everything will be fine.
Suddenly everything went dark.

I woke up with a banging head ache.
Forgetting I hurt myself, I sat up and a giant streak of pain went through me I saw my sister her eyes lit up seeing me she got off the chair and pushed me gently back down onto what felt like the couch.
My vision was still blurry.
I heard my mum talking to Diana and Anna it sounded like they were very angry.
"You're glad I'm not reporting this,what were you thinking your reputation could've been put on the line your the mayor of this town get your act together."Diana said.
"It wouldn't have happened if she'd not been a brat and poured my whiskeys down the sink they were a lot of money."mum retorted.
Anna walked up right in Mum's face,"GET OUT!! You can come back when you've got your act together,you're an unfit mother.
I wish you died instead of Asher!!" She cried.

Mum looked at her like she had just stabbed her she grabbed her car keys off of the table and ran out.
It was the first time Anna had said anything like that.
I must have fell back to sleep again because the next thing I knew Lana with her short curly red locks was leaning on the sofa where my face was. She then lent up near my forehead and kissed me. She's so adorable.
I wish I still had my Red hair but after the crash I went on a rampage and dyed my hair a dark purple.
Anna still has her Short Red hair.
Diana has mums hair which is brown but Diana's is a more beautiful colour than mums like an autumn brown.
Me and Anna have our dads hair even Asher did. Dad's hair is now grey though.
After an hour of recovering I looked at the Time school started 9:00 and it was 8:00 which meant I only had an hour to get ready.
I sat up slowly and steadily stood up I saw on the opposite side off the room I saw Diana asleep on the other sofa and I heard the shower so that meant Anna was in it .
I knew they weren't gonna let me go to school so I tried to sneak past them but as soon as I got right next to Diana, Lana started crying which woke her up. She saw me walked over to Lana picked her up and said,"why are you up you need to rest you lost quite a lot of blood it took half an hour to find a med kit for you and the towels were just soaking up the blood and not really helping though they helped stop a lot of blood for a bit."
"I'm going to school." I told her.
"No your not."
"I'm not missing my first day back,Anna could drop me off before she goes to uni I mean schools only 2 minutes away and the university is 5."
"Ok but take it easy any bad pain and I'll pick you straight up you understand!"
"I understand."
